Advanced Tactics, Tuesday
As the students entered the Dangerroom today, they found a rather benign sight: two rows of tables, on which five computers had been set up, complete with headsets, media keyboards, mice, and other accessories. Professor Harrington stood at the front of the room. She sipped from a cup of hot chocolate while Nimitz watched the class from his usual perch on her shoulder.
"Please come in and have a seat at one of the terminals. As with our previous schedule, today is your lab. The computers before you have been set up to emulate the command centers of the various nuclear vessels you have toured. Networked together, they will allow you to interact with each other."
Placing aside her hot chocolate, Honor moved forward and folded her arms across her chest. "You will fight, row 1 against row 2, coordinating your attacks through either voice or chat communications." She paused. "You might think of it as a version of the old Battleship game."
She smiled. "Now, choose your vessels and may the best team win."

Re: Row 2
Today, he was captain of a fake submathingy. First order of business? Figuring out how to use this weird machine doohicky to fire the weapons.

He looked over at Pip. "Hey, see if you can figure out how this thing -- ha! Hold on!"
He tapped a couple more buttons, letting loose a flurry of torpedoes towards what were hopefully Row 1's ships. Before the scenario had started. Because that -- that's tactics.
Re: Row 2
Fair fighting was not a concept heavily drilled into him by his teachers.
"I think you found the fire button," he said. Although if he knew Honor Harrington, it probably wouldn't work.

Then, in a whisper, he continued. "Tactics. The ship's gotta have a lot of fuel on it, right? And we've got some ships, and they've got some ships. So, if you keep your ships where they are and I sail my ship up to their ships and blow it up and take out all of theirs, then our side wins, right?"

"Okay. Peter's over there. Very honorable. Tends towards to fair combat, from what I understand."
