Detention [Saturday, February 17, all day]

Josh was so, so, so excited to get to play with the big kids today.

He'd even snuck a cup of coffee in the morning before bouncing off towards school.

Don't tell anyone, but coffee was kind of icky.

He was sitting on one of the couches the Danger Shop had provided, swinging his legs back and forth as he waited for the students to show up for detention the big kids to come over.

They were going to have sooooo much fun.

Josh's face wrinkled up. "No...." he said slowly. "Miss Zoe said I could play. 'Sides, Dad's up in Connecticut."

They were making them babysit Lyman's kid for detention? Well played, Administration...

"What's he doing in Conneticut?" Turtle's nose wrinkled a little.

"Oh." Turtle considered this information. "That's kind of a long commute, don't you think?" And then she realized she was talking to an eight year old, and sighed. "Why aren't you there, too, then?"
