Maybe it was feminine instinct, maybe it was because of the CIA training or maybe it was because she has had covert chickens keeping track of every student in the school. Whatever the reason Das Schnitzel walked up to Peter knowing exactly who he was.

"Good afternoon Peter." she said, looking up at him.

Peter stared. He recognized the voice from his voicemail, but...

"Okay, don't take this the wrong way or anything," Peter said. "Only I've been having a weird couple of weeks. So you are a chicken, right?"

"Yes, I am." says Das Schnizel. "I'm the Chef's smarter and better looking half."

"Would you care to sit down?" she says, gesturing to the table. "I'll go get the Chef."

"Sure," Peter said. He took a seat and waited at one of the tables.

Das Schnitzel nodded and hurried off to the kitchen. A few seconds later the Chef practically bounced into the cafeteria.

"Peetur! I em su glud thut uoo came-a!" he says, taking a seat on the other side of the table. Das Schnizel sat beside the Chef. "I em zee Sweedish Chef but uoo cun call me Chef. I em su ixcited tu bee your muntur!"

Peter smiled. "It's good to meet you, Chef. I'm glad to be your mentee."

"As your mentors the Chef and I will be able to help you with your schoolwork and when the time comes help you learn about different colleges and what sort of major you're interested in." says Das Schnizel. "Well, I'll be covering that part. The Chef is useless when it comes to certain subjects...such as English."

"Buut I vill be here eff fur everyzing else-a!" says Chef. "Famlee trubles, freend trubles, gurl trubles...boy trubles. Eees there-a anyzing in parteecular uoo vould like tu discuss-a?"

"You should probably know I just found out I have powers," Peter said. "Like this week found out. Still getting used to it and figuring out how they work."

"I copy other people's powers," Peter said. "When I'm near them I can do what they do. Wears off once we get some distance though."

Das Schnizel on the other hand looked concerned. "Do you know how you got these powers, Peter? Was there a accident in a labortory or exposure to meteors?"

Peter hadn't thought of that. "I don't know? I mean I do know I haven't been to a lab or around any meteors, so we can rule that out. But where they came from... good question. I started having dreams about it before it happened. Does that help?"

Das Schnizel shook her head. "I don't know much about super-powers unfortunately. I suggest that if you do have any questions you try talking to some of the students who have powers. Many of them have excellent control of what they can do. It would also be wise to look into your family history. A lot of times these things are inheirited."

The Chef beamed. "Uoo see vhy I keep-a her around?"

"Absolutely," Peter said to Chef. Then, because it was Fandom and he'd learned not to assume, he gestured between the both of them. "So are you two...?"

The Chef looked over at Das Schnitzel and then back at Peter. "I luv my chickee very mooch. Buut vee du nut du...uoo get vhat I mean."

Das Schnitzel put a wing over her face. "You're going to scare the boy."

"Just checking!" Peter said, holding his hands up to indicate his innocence. "I didn't want to say the wrong thing. Figured it was safer to ask."

"Don't let that scare you." says Das Schnitzel. "It's the military training. Can't get rid of the habit of following people."

"I appreciate the warning," Peter said. He smiled at them both. "It was great meeting you. Both of you. Guess as mentees go I'm twice as lucky."
