Coffee, coffee, coffee....

Isabel decided to skip homework today in favor of some holiday reading. She's hit the romance section.

That particular passage from The Jade Flower doesn't get any more believable no matter how many times you read it.

Isabel's pacing while she talks on the phone. "No, it's okay. Take some cold medicine. I'll bring you some lunch in a bit."

The library is closed unless you're an aide or the librarian. Isabel's run out for a few minutes to take some lunch to her sick boyfriend.

She's back and not at all disappointed that their plans for the evening have been cancelled. Really. There's still the dance on Friday.

Isabel's straightening up before she heads to Hunting.

Isabel's in Hunting, perhaps someone else can help you? Otherwise the library is closed.

Other then a short trip to take a sick kidlet to the doctor's, I should be around all day. Although we are having a severe, severe storm and my connection has been know to go poof if we get too much rain. If that happens? Well, I'll pick up pings when it dries out.

Angela shuffled sleepily into the library. "Happy Valentine's Day, Isabel."

"Same to you, Angela! Did you like your flowers?" Isabel asked as she walked back to the desk with a selection of books in hand.

"Tori was so sweet to send me one -- I need to get her candy or something," Angela said. "And I got one without a note. Very mysterious, in a really nice way."

"Don't look at me," Isabel grinned. "I'm sworn to secrecy. But it's nice that someone wanted to brighten your day like that."

"It is," Angela agreed. "Especially since my boyfriend has the death flu, or something. I'm going to have the most boring Valentine's Day ever."

"Oh no," she said. "Hopefully he'll be feeling better by the dance? If it makes you feel better I don't think Greg and I will be doing anything too exciting tonight. Probably just getting some Ching Tai and watching movies."

"I hope so," Angela said, looking a little concerned. "We can make it up later if he isn't."

She glanced out the library window. "It's too snowy out there to try to go far."

"Yeah, definitely a day for snuggling up and staying warm. I sort of miss summer," Isabel admitted.

After Spy Tech and a visit to town for candy, Parker stopped by the Library. "Happy Valentine's Day, Isabel." She perched on a library stool, and handed over a bouquet of candy roses (http://pics.livejournal.com/narglette/pic/00006cxq/g1). "And thank you so much for my flowers."

"Well don't they look yummy," Isabel smiled. "You shouldn't have."

"That makes me want to go to the beach," Angela said. "Only a couple months, right?"

"I'm not counting. Honestly. But when it gets to cold? I've found my self shopping for new bathing suits online," she grinned. "Or looking at pictures of Tahiti."

"Yes, I should. What are you reading?" Parker peered over, then grinned. "I should check out one of those in celebration. Maybe share it with Weiss."

Looking a bit sheepish, Isabel shrugged. "I'm sticking to the classics. Although I still don't see how this bit works. Well, unless you're extremely, extremely flexible. And don't get seasick from the swaying of the hammock."

"Jack swears that if your partner is telepathic, or you know them really, really well, it's possible. I'm taking his word for it, I don't need to sprain anything." She grinned and popped a chocolate heart in her mouth, then said, "Hang on."

After rummaging through the stacks, she came back with Diamonds and Coronets and The Pearl Blade. "What the hell. Inspiration is always welcome, right?"

"Good morning," Yomiko yawned as she came into the library.

Dick came into the library for the first time ever. It's not the he needed a book, it's just he heard that Isabel was in here today.

He puts a box of candy hearts in front of her. "For you. Happy Valentine's Day."

"Tahiti," Angela moaned, closing her eyes. "Why didn't we just move there? Though right now Roswell sounds good."

"Morning!" Isabel replied. "Happy Valentine's day!"

"There's no beach in Roswell," Isabel pointed out. "Tahiti has the beaches and those cute little bungalows over the water with the glass floors!"

"Jack offered to demonstrate," Isabel snickered. "I turned him down." Looking at the book selection she grinned. "You can't go wrong with the classics."

"Awwww," Isabel said with a smile. "You shouldn't have. Thank you!"

"Well nobody can't say Dick Casablancas isn't sweet. Or charming. Or all around awesome." says Dick, grinning. "There's more but I don't want to seem big-headed."

"You're all those things," she laughed. "And handsome to."

"Handsome! That's the most important one! How could I forget?" he says, putting a hand to his forehead. "Good thing I have you to remind me."

"Doing anything special with the boyfriend, who I have not yet met but I'm sure I'll approve of?" he asked.

"It's my purpose in life. And sadly we have no big plans for the night. He has a miserable cold," Isabel explained. "So he's just going to take some medicine and try to sleep it off so he's better by the dance on Friday."

"Aw, that sucks. But it's better than getting mono or something, trust me." he says, knowingly. "I'm not sure if I'm going to the dance or not ~~cause Mun is busy~~ but if I do go I'm gonna have to see your boyfriend and make sure he's worthy of you."

"He's very worthy," she said, smiling fondly. "Well I hope you do make it. I'll save you a dance."

"Exactly. You and Greg have plans for tonight?" Parker popped another candy heart in her mouth, looking expectant. "Or saving it up for this weekend?"

"Probably just going to snuggle up and watch some movies. Which is just fine. It means we can save our energy for dancing," Isabel said, then she winked. "Of course there could be some dancing this evening."

"Just as long as the hammocks don't fall down." Parker grinned, stacking her books together. "Have fun, and I'll see you in Hunting."

"Nope, that would be bad. Thanks again Parker!" Isabel called after her.

"Then Tahiti definitely wins," Angela decided.

"Someday I'll get there. Maybe. It's on the list, right after Rome."
