"Okay. The Great Depression," said Daniel as an introduction. "It was a worldwide economic downturn which started in October of 1929 and lasted through most of the 1930s. It was centered in North America and Europe, but had devastating effects around the world, particularly in industrialized countries and producers of raw materials.

"Today, I'd like for you to choose a different country and summarize the effects that the Depression had on it."
