Science! Thursday, Period 7

Oh yes. It was once again time for Hikaru to teach the class in place of Ms. Frizzle.

“Once again, the Frizz is out today.” Hikaru sat on her desk, chin raised at the assembled class. “But we get to do something a lot less complicated today. We’re making balloon cars.” He started tossing empty milk cartons at people, so hoping one would smack Turtle in the head on its way through the air. “The handouts say you only need half of one of these… so find a partner or something and make them.” He hops of the desk, waving his hand dismissively at everyone. This weeks lesson wasn’t all that exciting, so he couldn’t really come up with anything too strange to do with it.

“Of course, if you’d like to propel your car with something much better than air…” He grinned. “I totally snagged some extra supplies.” And with that, he left the front of the class to go play with the vinegar, baking soda, coke, and mentos he’d grabbed on the way to class.

Too bad Hikaru hadn't turned soon enough. Although the late turn of his head kept the paper ball from gluing up his hair, it hit him in the side of the head, leaving glue on his ear, cheek, and then shirt once it fell.

"..." That was going too far. There was a lot of glue on that ball! He stood up from his place at the front, the bottle of glitter in his hand, and walked over to Turtle, promptly dumping it's contents over her head.

"Eep!" Turtle winced a little at the shower of glitter, but she also couldn't help giggling a bit because, either way you looked at it, being covered in glitter was funny. She promptly shot her foot out to kick Hikaru in the shin, but it wasn't a sharp, painful one; she couldnt' focus the attack very well as she was sputtering glitter out of her mouth.

He jumped back after her attack; at least it didn't hurt as much as last time.

But the kick did stop his glitter attack. She looked so sparkly with all that glitter. Aw.

Turtle, covered in glitter and, thus, mostly defeated, chucked a pencil at him. And plotted her revenge.

...She also realized that these classes almost always ended with her plotting his revenge. She was slacking off on actually delivering said revenge.
