Oh yes. It was once again time for Hikaru to teach the class in place of Ms. Frizzle.

“Once again, the Frizz is out today.” Hikaru sat on her desk, chin raised at the assembled class. “But we get to do something a lot less complicated today. We’re making balloon cars.” He started tossing empty milk cartons at people, so hoping one would smack Turtle in the head on its way through the air. “The handouts say you only need half of one of these… so find a partner or something and make them.” He hops of the desk, waving his hand dismissively at everyone. This weeks lesson wasn’t all that exciting, so he couldn’t really come up with anything too strange to do with it.

“Of course, if you’d like to propel your car with something much better than air…” He grinned. “I totally snagged some extra supplies.” And with that, he left the front of the class to go play with the vinegar, baking soda, coke, and mentos he’d grabbed on the way to class.

Dude. How could someone not notice? Hikaru gave him a very confused look after he was done explaining what they were to do. "Were...you in a hurry today?"

"Left my pants on a door," Valentine explained, as though it all made sense. "I have a paranoid roomie."

"Don't you have more than one pair of pants..?"

"Hey, some people have to travel light!" Sokka interjected, in Valentine's defense.

"But.. the sheet seems so much more inconvenient."

"When a paranoid roommate steals your pants, sometimes you have to improvise," Sokka declared imperiously.

Then he snickered. "It does look funny, though."

"Thank you for that glorious defense," Valentine replied with a sneer. "Trust me, wearing a bedsheet will spare me a good deal of trouble in the long run."
Especially given that his underwear was pie. Still.
He had thrown it out a week ago.

"I, uh... still think you should find some pants. But you" -- he pointed at Twinboy -- "need to be nicer."

"If you have any idea where I mind find pants that will not turn into pie or become stuck to closet doors, I'm open to any suggestions," Valentine muttered.

"Sokka held up a finger and opened his mouth to say something snarky, but... "Uh, nah. I got nuthin'. I, uh... think that's just the kind of stuff that happens around here. Like the furniture attacking."

Valentine sighed. "Yes, I was nearly eaten by my bed yesterday." He scowled and crossed his arms. "The search for Fandomproof pants continues, then."
