Revolutions: Week 5 Period 5
The classroom was unbarricaded today and there wasn't singing yet. Aly sat on her desk as the students came in and watched them find their seats.
"Afternoon, all," she said with a bit of a smile once everyone had found their seats. "The past couple weeks, we've talked about the larger issues of forming a revolution. Why you'd do it, how you'd start to recruit people to your side, even," she grinned, "a practical demonstration."
"Today we're going to look a bit more closely at one of the most important parts of a rebellion - your people. No revolution ever is run completely by one person no matter how good they are. What I'd like for you do to today is determine what roles you think you would need to fill in starting a rebellion. And if you like, who you would try to talk into taking those roles."
She paused, looking around to make sure people were following. "For example, in the Copper Isles, the leaders of the rebellion ended up with titles of wise one, cunning one, strong one, warrior and the crow." Aly rolled her eyes. "Stupid names and the roles are fairly obvious, but there was a prophecy and this and that." Aly smirked. "It shouldn't be too surprising which title was mine."
"So if you have any questions, please ask, otherwise determine the roles you'd feel are necessary - and this can be for whichever technological or magic type of society you like. Next week, we'll talk more about the roles and the organisation of your core members."
[OOC: So many apologies for less than stellar class. I can't seem to find my brain, and I have much sickness so Aly pings may be slow. Please wait for the OCD is up.]

Re: [Rev 2-6] Make up Your Roles
She knew some military strategies but she did not trust it enough to lead to victory (clearly this was something she has to rectify), if she ingratiates herself to the 'new' regime she could be a spy but they would never trust her enough to be an effective spy.
On the other hand, she could be both a symbol and a leader of the rebellion without needing to be a military expert. All she would need is a military expert as her right hand man and a spymaster her right hand didn't know about.
Yes. Irulan could see that.
Re: [Rev 2-6] Make up Your Roles
Intel gathering--both historical and current
Tech/weapons
Strong, emotional public speaker
Supply staff (possibly thieves?)
Her list went on that way for a while. One would think she'd done it before.
