Well, they certainly didn't earn any points for originality or variety today, did they? Setsuna grabbed a very little bit of everything, and went to find a seat to wait for Ranma.

Ranma grabs some meatballs of some kind; he's not terribly picky really. He takes a seat next to Setsuna with a big dopey grin on his face. She wrote love in her note... he's going to keep it.

Setsuna smiled at Ranma as he sat down, beaming slightly. //"You made it."//

//I can't think anythin' that could stop me...// He scoots a little closer so their shoulders touch.

Setsuna bit her lip against a little smirk at the scooting; it was just way too cute. //"Have the twins given you any crap about the other morning?"// she asked him, with a look that said they better not have as she took a delicate bite of her speghettee.

//Nah. They were busy bugging Matilda this weekend.// Ranma now set upon his food in his usual ravenous way.

For a moment, Setsuna watched Ranma's...less than delicate eating methods, half bemused, half...well, astonished really. After a moment, she spoke. "Ranma?"

Ranma was mostly done eating all that was in front of him and he looks up with a bit of a grin. //Yeah?//

//"Did, uh...did you even taste any of that?"//

Oh, God, and he had tiny spots of food on his face, just like Konoka-Ojou-sama when she ate rice balls. Looking at him, Setsuna really had to try hard not to giggle as she handed him a napkin.

//Oh I totally did! I mean it's not really important to taste it though. It's important to eat it before someone takes it.// He takes the napkin and wipes his mouth. His upbringing is shining through at the moment.

One of Setsuna's eyes slid shut. //"You think I'm going to steal your food, Ranma?"//

//"A lot, I take it? I assure..."// Setsuna stopped herself before continuing. //"Well, I was going to say that you probably don't have to worry about any pandas stealing your food, but, around here, you never know."//

Setsuna nodded resolutely. //"I have a feeling, if I do see a panda, the first thing I'll think to do is challenge it more than anything else."//

Setsuna lifted her chin as she pierced her fork sharply into a meatball. //"He might fight cheap, but I fight well."//

"Mmm," Setsuna made a noncommital, thoughtful sort of sound, examining the pierced meatball without really thinking on it. She shook her head lightly. How could Ranma stand having a father like that? Almost made her glad she didn't have one...

//"You know what we haven't done in a while?"// Setsuna asked, turning to him before taking a nibble.

//"Well, yeah,"// Setsuna shrugged a little. //"I mean, I know it always just ends up with me working on my hand-to-hand and you working on your dodging because you never hit back, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. Or that I haven't missed it. We used to spar all the time..."//

He breathed a sigh of relief. Whew.. she wasn't asking him to try to hit her. //I'd love to then.//

After having a little bit of everything, Sokka went back for a second helping of Ice-a Creem a la Meetball. And a third.

"You, sir," he said, wagging his spoon at the Chef, "are a mad genius!"
