Detention, February 3

When the students entered the Danger Shop, The Tick stood before them. It looked normal, but had a frankly ridiculous amount of cleaning supplies stacked all around. Also there was a large troll who was jazzhanding to a broom, trying to get it excited for cleaning. There was a sign up sheet up front.

John Crichton
Eric Weiss
Turtle Wexler
Matilda Wormwood

"Hello, students! I am The Tick and I will be administering your detention today! In preparation for next week's School Board visit, Fosse, our janitor, will be needing some help in making the school look as nice as possible! That's where you come in. You are about to join an exclusive club! A club whose members volunteer themselves with misdeeds in times of need!"

"Today, you four will make up the newest version of the Fandom High School Beautification Committee! Come over here, sign in, collect your blue jumpsuit from Fosse, and let's get to it!"

[OOC: This version of the Beautification Committee is a one day thing, don't worry. You'll have different threads for different areas around the school. In a blatant reversal of normal detention rules, you can wander into posts set in those places during that time of day. Obviously, room posts that aren't expressly open should have permission before jumping in there, but otherwise have fun. If you could drop some links into the appropriate threads, or if you would just rather play in those threads, that's totally cool. Fosse is moddable, unless you want somebody to take the [livejournal.com profile] fh_extras reigns.

I'll be on and off until evening, so feel free to do your own things. Just try not to contradict yourselves and have fun! :)

Wait for OCD. You're good to go!]

John signed in, grumbled and took his blue jumpsuit.

Matilda took the jumpsuit with a bit of a sigh. She wasn't really happy about getting detention, though the task wasn't too bad. But it IS going to allow her time to wonder about the whole reason she got in here... And worry about the twins...

Weiss put on the jumpsuit and really, really hoped nobody saw him today.

Turtle was wide-eyed as signed in and took her jumpsuit. So. Not. Cool.

John started to clean the hallways.

He was minding his own business in a corner when something pricked him in the back of the heel. He looked down to see a tiny cowboy swinging his six shooter at him and stomping his boots.

"Get away," John said. "I'm cleaning."

The cowboy didn't speak but shot another round of wax bullets at John.

"Ow! Dammit, stop!"

The cowboy didn't listen, choosing instead to make a beeline for John's leg, heading up into his pants.

This was not good.

"Ow. Ow. Ow." Tiny wax bullets made micro-perforations in Weiss's trouser leg. "Stopit, stopit, stopit." The Romans chucked spears, which stuck well for being so weetiny. Frustrated, Weiss swung his mop and took out the entire 6th Legion. This pissed off Legions 1-5 and 7 through 29. They formed into a well-ordered swarm and headed straight for Weiss, brandishing weapons and cowboys forgotten.

John looked quietly at the mythical locker. The locker looked back. It was quite the staring contest.

Turtle pouted profusely as she started to clean the classroom windows. "Doesn't this violate some sort of child labor laws?"

Ah, child labor laws. Helpful only when you want to get out of something, completely ingorable when you actually want to get a job and be partner somewhere.

John trudged into a classroom, picked up some erasers and started gleefully pounding them together.

Weiss cleaned the Film & Lit classroom. He was the TA, he should make it shiny. Shine little classroom, shine!

Weiss ate his lunch. There was a shuffling sound by left hand. The tomato looked at him. He looked at the tomato. The tomato redoubled its looking efforts. Weiss rolled his eyes. The tomato launched itself at Eric's head.

It bounce off his ear and fell the ground. Good thing it wasn't quite ripe.

Turtle chewed idly at her sandwich as she stared a tomato down, threatening it. She wouldn't be afraid to eat a sentient tomato, not when it was asking for it.

Matilda sits down by Turtle with a smile. "What're ya in for pardner?"

Turtle swabbed the deck as quickly as she could, and wanted to go relax in the pool, but got distracted by the shuffleboard.

"This game is even more stupid that curling," she deduced.
