Today, the classroom had pillows. Lots and lots of pillows. The Doctor was standing, with a smug grin on his face. When everyone had gathered, he spoke.

"Sex. If you're going to get all righteous and uptight on me, you're officially excused out the door right now and you can go watch Davey and Goliath clips on YouTube or whatever it is you boring people do. Anyone leaving?"

He paused, just in case anyone did.

"Now this isn't your stupid and silly tab a into slot b lesson. That... well, frankly, that's boring. I'm sure Mr. Harkness could share his expertise for multiple, well, yes, I'm not here to talk about what two humans can do with their block and tackle, right? This is about what happens when you get really friendly with a nice blue girl with mandibles or a scaly fellow who doesn't have lips. So now, please bear with me."

And then the doctor launched into a lengthy lecture. With gestures. Dolls and bizzare plushies as Visual aids. And some possibly psychologically scarring content about what one does with horns, mandibles, scales, tails, and, of course, tentacles.

"So now, pair up, one of you pretend to be a creature with different physiology, and chat each other up. If you need some ideas, there's some ~~tentacle porn~~ magazines under some of the pillows. No actual sex in my classroom, please. I'd get sacked, and that would be a bad thing. So... go ahead and do what comes naturally, eh?"

"You can feel me however you want to, baby," Z said, but her face said 'I can't believe these words are coming out of my mouth.'

D raised an eyebrow and with just one finger, she quickly poked Z on the shoulder, pulling her hand away as fast as possible.

"What?"

"Think that'll cover the feely bit of the assignment?"

"Let's say it does?" Z suggested hopefully.

"Totally." D nodded. "Have to leave something for the second date after all."

"Second..." Z flailed. "Wait, did you just ask me out?"

"Ummm...sure?" It was all in the name of a good grade, wasn't it?

"...okay," Z said after a moment.

"Wha..." D blinked. Then she blinked some more as her brain processed that maybe that wasn't part of the class. But maybe that wasn't the worst thing ever.

"...where would you'd like to go?" She'd never asked out a girl before, but how different could that be, really?

Z shrugged. She wasn't used to dating girls, either. "I don't know. We could get food?"

"Food's good." Ummm, D might have been a little internally flaily at the moment. "How's, er, Sunday?"

"Sunday is good. Um, do you like Chinese food?" Z asked. Also internally flailing.

Still going with the theme of flailing, "haven't tried it yet but I'm game."

"Okay, great," Z said. "So we'll, um...we'll do that. When? And...will you still have feelers?"

"Er, late lunch? Say two o'clock-ish?" D replied. "NO! I mean, no, no feelers. I'm just as human as you. Just not born here, ya know?"

"Okay," Z said. "I'll, um, see you then."
