fandomhigh | Revolutions: Week 4 Period 5

Anyone coming into class today will find that someone had gotten there early. That particular someone also barricaded off the majority of the classroom with a pile of desk and chairs.

That particular someone was also standing on top of the barricade with his trenchcoat billowing dramatically. (Actually it was just two dupes standing behind Jamie flapping the end of his trenchcoat)

"Makers of mischief and revolution!" Jamie called out to his fellow students. "Last weeks class was a sham! The monarchy was not the true power in this classroom!"

(Several dramatic gasps were heard. Again from the dupes)

"I know! I know!" Jamie said waving his hands. "I was shocked too! The real dictator? The one taking our rights away? The one who assigns us homework?"

Jamie put a mock serious look and pointed dramatically at another certain someone. "She's right there. Alianne of Pirate's Swoop and the Copper Isles! Join me my brothers! Help me overthrow her from her position and demand the rights and privleges that we so deserve!"

"How?" Zuko asked. He thought using fire was pretty effective.

"Well, there's always buying out the head revolutionaries, but I don't think that'll work here," Seely replied. "Which leaves the breads and circuses option, keep the masses comfortable and entertained and they won't care enough to revolt or to listen to those who do."

"These people watch sitcoms," Zuko pointed out as if that should make sense to Seely.

"So we give them something even more distracting than sitcoms."

"Like?" Zuko asked impatiently.

Seely shrugged. "Boykissy. It's a proven tactic."

"You're insane," Zuko said automatically, giving Seely a look. Then again, so was everyone else here.

"No, I'm suggesting the use of a proven distraction technique," Seely replied. "Around here, boykissy brings people running."

More staring.

"Fine. Go kiss them," he waved over at Walter and Balthier.

Seely shook his head. "We're gonna need more boykissy than that."

Zuko narrowed his eyes at Seely. "So kiss them twice."

"That's not what I meant, Zuko."

"Then maybe it should be," Zuko suggested stubbornly.

"Zuko," Seely sighed and shook his head. "And here I was thinking you'd be willing to take any measures necessary to help Aly's cause."

"I'll set that barricade on fire. That should be enough," Zuko growled, not much liking the implication of Seely's words.

"Enough to drive everyone over to Jamie's side, sure."

"Then they're idiots," Zuko decided yet again.

Seely resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "One moment while I test that theory (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1211033.html?thread=70758809#t70758809)," he said.

Zuko felt the urge to facepalm.
