Week 4: Home Economics: Period 1: Tuesday

Emma is wearing a green apron, a white shirt and jeans today. It's probably the most mundane attire she's worn so far. Students are free to boggle at the sight.

The gas stoves are back on the desks, along with a variety of ingredients and a collection of pots and pans.

"Good morning, students. Find your aprons, today we are cooking chicken!" Emma smiles. "You may boil your chicken or fry in in a pan. You cannot bake it as we have no stoves at the moment. You will also make at least two side dishes based on the ingredients on your table."

A thick folder called Chicken Cooking Tips is found on each table, along with a recipe book.

She pointed at a box on her desk. "Please place your scarves with your name attached on a note in this box, thank you."

It's pink and fuzzy and a work of cool creativity that really makes it unique.

"Hope you like it, Miss Frost." Annette replied as she shoved the wadded pink stuff in the box.

It's about five feet long, three inches wide, and more knots and tangles than anything else. But she did manage to tie cute little yarn bows into it to make up for any fuzzy ugliness.

She grabbed a teddy bear apron and set out to check out the tables. She decided on the one with pineapple, cause, yay, pineapple!

John placed his knotted, multi colored, tacky, holey scarf in the box. Knitting really wasn't his thing.

John plopped down at table two and thanked everyone that they weren't knitting.

Setsuna's scarf (of which she knitted two, one for giving away, one for class here) was simple and yellow. That was about it. Not overly long, not expertly done, just simple and yellow.

Setsuna's head tilted as she chose a table at random and looked over the ingredients. This would be....interesting.

Alec's scarf was blue and the length a scarf should be. One end had obviously been where he'd started from, but it got better almost immediately and the rest of it was rather surprisingly well done.

Layla's scarf was green and fuzzy and about four feet long. There were some bumps and holes in the beginning, but it got better at the end.

Peter's scarf was pulled all out of proportion by threads that were too tight in places and far, far too loose in others. By the end, he'd just started trying to try knots to resemble some semblance of a scarf. It really, really didn't look like anything other than yarn though.

Peter sat down next to John. "Anything has to be better than more yarn, right?"
