As the students came into the dangershop, they might have noticed that the interior looked more like a boudoir, than the torture chamber some of them might have been anticipating. Ares, a vision in white leather, lounged on a loveseat and a glowing list of students hung in the air next to him.

Ares	After all the students arrived, Ares stood up. "For all you cats who don't know me, I am Ares, God of Love," he said. "And I'll be running your detention today. I consider myself a mellow god, and I don't want to be harshing on your weekends, so I am not going to make this detention a punishment, but an attempt to help you little groovers out." "Now, little dudes, do you all know why you're here?" Ares waited half a second before continuing. "You're here because of a lack of love. And we're going to fix that." Ares consulted his notes. "Seely Booth?"
"Seely Booth"	Liam stood around waiting for several moments before remembering that he was supposed to be 'Seely'. "Aye, that's me, Seely Booth."
Ares	"Come here, Seely, my man." Ares beckoned Liam up to the front of the dangershop.
"Seely Booth"	Somewhat warily, Liam made his way up to the front of class and stood next to Ares. "So, I've come here."
Ares	Ares grinned and clapped Liam on the shoulder, causing him to stagger slightly. "Now, kids, Seely here has kindly volunteered to help out with this detention."
"Seely Booth"	"I have?"
Ares	"Yes, you have," Ares replied. "Now, Seely, do you consider yourself skilled in the arts of seduction?"
"Seely Booth"	Liam shrugged and grinned. "Well, I've had few enough complaints over the years," he said.
Ares	"Groovy. Knew you were the type." Ares pinched Liam's cheek. "You'll be putting those skills to good use today. But first, I'll be explaining what the rest of you will be doing. Which is seducing Seely."
"Seely Booth"	"Uh, you mind running that by me again?"
Ares	"I'll be setting up a number of situations, where you guys will have to use all your wiles to convince Seely of your love."
"Seely Booth"	Liam grinned. "I don't think that'll be too hard."
Ares	"Now I don't actually expect you to sleep with him ~~because public comm omg~~," Ares continued, oblivious to Liam's face falling. "Just get him to the point of agreeing to. And if you need help at any time, just ask me."
"Seely Booth"	Liam raised his hand. "What do you need my seduction skills for if they're doing the seducing?" he asked.
Ares	"Oh, you'll be seducing me," Ares replied. "Show these guys how it's done."
"Seely Booth"	And that was Liam wishing he hadn't asked that question.

"Seely"'s here to be seduced!

Coffee... isn't alcohol. But it will have to do, right?
Jason gawked up at the coffee shop menu board, and then back at 'L. Seely.'
"This isn't what I meant when I offered you a drink," he admitted. "But since we're here, what do you want?"

Seely stared at the gibberish written on the board. "Are these things really coffee?"

"They like to pretend to be. Most of them are cream supplemented with sugar and with a liberal dab of something else that's supposed to be cream on top." Jason sighed and looked up at the board. "If you're not into the cream so much, I'd think that they would have normal coffee here, too."

Liam nodded. "Aye, I think that might be best," he said.

"Good choice," Jason stated, looking back toward Liam. "For as good as the low-fat non-whip double cream espresso sounds... I don't think I'd be able to say that again. I'll order then. Find seats while I try to decipher coffee shop psychobabble?"

"I'll do that," Liam nodded, and went to find some seats. His criteria for choosing being how suitable they looked to be used as weapons in a bar fight.

Jason was totally okay with that.
Not that he was expecting a bar fight to break out in a coffee shop, of course. But it seemed oddly fitting, anyhow.
"Two coffee, black," he ordered, pulling money from his pocket and glancing over his shoulder to see where L-Seely had run off to.

Liam waved from the table in the corner.

Jason waved back and nodded-- the corner looked good enough. Good place to not attract attention if one was on a mandatory date with a guy who probably wished he was in a bar about as much as Jason did.
Finally, the coffee was ready - why does pouring already brewed black coffee take so long in a coffee shop, anyhow? - and Jason headed back toward his 'date,' coffee in tow.
"There you are, black. Unless you wanted cream or sugar. I can go back, if you do."
Foresight? Not Jason's strongest point.

"No, no, black's fine." Maybe if he pretended really hard, it would turn into a nice pint of ale.

"Good," Jason sat down and picked up his own cup. "I'd have ordered something to go in it, but apparently they don't do Baileys shots in coffee shops, either. It's a joke, really."

"It's the devil's work," Liam replied. "Somehow."

Jason raised an eyebrow as he swallowed a mouthful of coffee. He burned his tongue. He didn't care.
"It always is, isn't it? That would probably explain a good many things about my day thus far." He frowned, setting his cup on the table. "The day would be so much better if we could just get a drink."
...
"Think there's a bar somewhere on the street outside this bloody coffee shop?"
It was worth a shot.

Liam perked up. "Hopefully."

Jason grinned and stood. "Well then, let's forget about the coffee and try to get a real drink somewhere, hm?"
The coffee wasn't so great, anyhow.

"Sounds like a plan," Liam grinned back.

Quite pleased at this prospect, Jason headed for the door, tossing his nasty coffee in the trash on the way, and holding the door for L-Seely.

Liam cheerfully followed.

The Madri approach Seely. All carrying a cup of coffee.

"This coffee is bitter. Much like the bitterness we feel being away from our Lord Apocalypse. Is this the part where we attempt to have man sex with you?"

And it's a toss up over what's more disturbing: The Madri's idea of what constitutes romance or the fact they say everything in unison.

Liam went from boggling to flailing. "What? All of you?"

"Yes." Again with the unison. "Not that we're like that. Or there is anything wrong with it. Eventually you're will be purged from the world and only the strong will survive. So the offer really doesn't matter."

Liam sculled down his coffee and really, really wished it was whiskey.

"Perhaps an exchange of numbers would suffice?" The Madri suggest.
