Music is Love [1/19]: Period Two

The introduction music begins as Lorne appears on the stage in a flash of light.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! CHILDREN OF ALL AGES! DEMONS WHO CAN CARRY A TUNE! THIS IS MUSIC IS LOVE!"

Lorne then turned and looked at the camera. "Ryan Seacrest? Eat your heart out."

"Today our class will be focusing on the theme of "Blood, Ammo and Ice" in honor of our guest judges Emily Frostburn and Wading Pool!"

Lorne then gestured over to the judges table where (most likely) they were wondering what the heck Lorne was thinking.

"Let's get this class started kids! Who's up first?"

[Waits for the OCD is up!]

[ETA: *facepalms* Credit for today's class theme goes to the wonder [livejournal.com profile] likeasponge whom I've forgotten to credit twice now. *hides from hair product packaging thrown in my general direction]

Molly stepped up onto the stage next. She smiled at the judges before starting in on her song.

Roland was a warrior from the Land of the Midnight Sun
With a Thompson gun for hire, fighting to be done
The deal was made in Denmark on a dark and stormy day
So he set out for Biafra to join the bloody fray

Through sixty-six and seven they fought the Congo war
Fingers on their triggers, knee-deep in gore
For days and nights they battled the Bantu to their knees
They killed to earn their living and to help out the Congolese

Roland the Thompson gunner...

His comrades fought beside him - Van Owen and the rest
But of all the Thompson gunners Roland was the best
So the CIA decided they wanted Roland dead
That son-of-a-bitch Van Owen blew off Roland's head

Roland the headless Thompson gunner (Time, time, time
For another peaceful war
Norway's bravest son But time stands still for Roland
'Til he evens up the score)
They can still see his headless body stalking through the night
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun
In the muzzle flash of Roland's Thompson gun

Roland searched the continent for the man who'd done him in
He found him in Mombassa in a barroom drinking gin
Roland aimed his Thompson gun - he didn't say a word
But he blew Van Owen's body from there to Johannesburg

Roland the headless Thompson gunner...

The eternal Thompson gunner, still wandering through the night
Now it's ten years later but he still keeps up the fight
In Ireland, in Lebanon, in Palestine and Berkeley
Patty Hearst heard the burst of Roland's Thompson gun
And bought it

"...Your song has too many words." Emma blinked at the girl.

"I just sand the words that were there," Molly said with a pout. "It's not like I added any extra on purpose."

"I've been there!" Wade was not being particularly helpful with advice as he was too excited over other things. "That was the greatest song ever. You win," He said, offering Molly the bottle in his hand.

Molly beamed at Wade. "Thank you, Professor Deadpool," she said. "I think you need the bottle more than I do. Thanks all the same."

Wade looked at the bottle and then over at Emma. "I think you're right," He said in the exaggerated whisper of someone who has had quite a bit to drink.

Molly stifled a giggle behind her hand and left the stage.
