Last time we looked at the Villanovan period of Rome. Now, we're looking at some Grecian stuff. Let's look at some temples and talk about the religion associated with them. *turns off lights and puts up slides*
Homweork: Write me a small paragraph about the Parthenon's archaeological significance. What was it made for? What mythological scenes appear on the friezes and metopes? And don't forget to hand in any missing assignments.

Since there are only four of us now, I thought it would be kind of fun to spend the next few weeks looking at some key passages in Herodotus' Histories and look at the propaganda aspect of his work. Since we're not here to translate, I got the best translation I could find.
Homework: Read Book 1 by Monday. ((OOC: Don't worry about it. I'm not reading it in its entirety, so you don't either O_o)) And hand in any assignments that are missing.

I used to like torture. Once. Of course that was when I was being psychologically manipulatedRe: OTHER
I don't much care for extra blood, but cruelty is good. Especially because he frelling well deserves it.Re: OTHER
I won't disagree with you there. Hate songs on the radio? Not cool[OOC: And yet the mun would dedicate "You Oughta Know" to her ex-boyfriend in a heartbeat if she could]
Re: OTHER
Mean. Why does he bother?(OOC: oh sure. *pats* Exes deserve that.)
Re: OTHER
To see you torture a guy? Heck yes! Why, of course. Especially if I get his Sims. *smiles*You know, in my experience, men poking fun at women often mean that they actually like you. But in this case, I would say he just enjoys seeing you squirmRe: OTHER
*pout* is that the only reason? Can we share the Sims? Like, you get them from Greco-Roman and I get them for Egyptian? And we play together when we go out for coffee, as long as Janet doesn't mind? *grins*Perhaps I shouldn't squirm then. *makes mental note to ignore Shep, after she kills him* But...why the liking of squirm if he's not appreciating the view?Re: OTHER
*pout* Maybe, maybe not :PI think we could strike some sort of agreement. *grins*What if Sheppard comes back to life like me? And everyone else from Colorado.Re: OTHER

((OOC: Daniel, seeing as how you're not here and I need to go and make another post now, I'm wrapping this up and having Janet walk out of here while you're still stunned.))
