Home Economics, Tuesday, period 1

Upon entering the class room, the students will see Emma standing by her desk, welcoming them all. She is dressed mundanely in a white corset, pants, boots and blazer. Well, mundane for her. Most of the other teachers probably didn't wield a riding crop.

There are six seven tables in the room, with three white boxes on each. In a pile on the middle of the tables are buttons, beads, sharpies, glitter, glue and other decorations. Emma points each student to a table after they've signed the sign in sheet.

When everyone that's going to arrive have, Emma smacks her riding crop against her desk to get everyone's attention and begins talking.

"Welcome to Home Economics! My name is Emma Frost, and I will be your teacher." She sighed for a moment. "I suppose I should tell you that I am a telepath, which means that yes, I really can read your filthy little minds.

Today you have all been given boxes. Decorate them in a way that will make you recognize them, as they will be kept in this room and you will use them to store things in. You will be given a new useful item for each class, and at the end of the semester the boxes will be yours to do with as you please."

Peter was getting a little overzealous with the glitter. Not only was it all over his box but it was also in his hair, on his face and when he opened his mouth you could see some on his tongue. There was also a very good chance that the people at his table might get hit with it too.

Maia started laughing when she saw the glitter on his tongue. She moved her box over (http://pics.livejournal.com/maias_notebook/pic/0007g1xx) to allow some of Peter's glitter to hit it. "I'm Maia." She said grinning as she dabbed the centers of her stars with glue and adding some glitter of her own...actually she scooped glitter off the table instead of using the container, there seemed to be enough of it laying around.

"Peter." he says but quickly realizes that doesn't help anybody in this school. "Also known as Fat Peter on the radio."

"Oh ok." Maia said happily. "So do you like to be called Fat Peter? or is Peter ok to call you when we're in class and stuff?"

"Peter's fine." he says "The nickname is only needed when one of the other 200 Peters that go to school here are present."

Maia beamed at him, "I'm lucky I'm the only Maia then." She looked at his box, "I like your box."
