Constant Vigilance 2: Electric Boogaloo Final

The Doctor smiled and waved at everyone who came in to class today.

He passed out a written exam that seemed dreadfully dull, long, and boring.

After a few minutes, noticing the distress on Jack Harkness' face, he called him up to his desk, and sent him off to pick some things up at J,GoB.

All seemed like the final would be a boring smelly old test... surely he had something up his sleeve?

The Cybermen exchanged Cyberglances.

"You are not to hit us again. You are to await processing, quietly."

"I'm real sorry for hittin' ya," Kaylee said, trying to sound somewhat apologetic.

Meanwhile, she noticed what Zack was doing and attempted the same process with the award she was holding.

Pippi puts a hand in her coat pocked and starts grinding up some of her spending cash with a nail.

Nadia glanced towards Pippi, figuring of the people here, she could probably take the cybermen's attention with the least damage. She tried to mouth "we need a distraction!" at her.

"You know what? I'm not interested in waiting quietly for processing! I'm bored. This was a boring test. I want a sing along. NOW!"

That . . . would work. Nadia started slowly moving towards the Civil War sword and the screw drivers. She wasn't entirely certain what she'd do when she got there, but, well, she'd figure that out, later.

In the mean time, she started gesturing for people to leave, remembering the Doctor's rule number one, being "RUN!"

So she was mouthing that, too.

The Cybermen stared blankly at Pippi, almost confused.

"You want us to do what?"

As Pippi walked past the other students she dropped off a gold coin (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1171614.html?thread=66045854#t66045854) for some of them. ~~whoever wants one~~

"I want one last sing-along! It's your fault it's the last so you have to sing-along!"

Is what Pip's paper would have said if Nadia had glanced down it.

Mind you, it was poking her in the arm, so she probably would.

We need gold dust, don't we?

She did. She shook her head, not because they didn't need gold dust, but rather because the Cybermen weren't terribly likely to let them go hunting for it, so they still needed a distraction.

As Pippi walks through the room towards the cybermen, she discretely drops off a gold coin or two on several desks.

"...It's your fault I won't ever get a sing-along again so you have to sing-along!"

"Cybermen do not sing. It is irrational," the Cybermen said, very focused on Pippi.

Okay, they had gold. How did they make it dust?

Were any of those screwdrivers sonic? Nadia had just reached them and started checking them out, keeping the gold coin clenched in her fist and trying to keep an eye on the Cybermen while she did so.

Nadia might just notice that the Cybermen's breathing unit has a conspicuously cheesegrater-like vent on it.

"We will not sing."

"Come on, it's not hard!"

Pippi starts to sing to the tune of Glory, Glory Hallelujah.

"EVERYBODY!"

Nadia did notice ~~now that it was pointed out to her mun~~. She set her mallet down, and, quietly joining in on Pippi's song, hefted the gold coin and tried to sneak up behind what looked like the Cyberman leader.

Kaylee felt like she scraped the award enough to make enough dust, so, like Nadia, she tried sneaking up on one of them. She blew the dust at the cyberman making sure it was directed toward the vent.

The Cyberman who had dust blown into his vent started coughing and sputtering, falling to the ground.

The leader Nadia had snuck up on was oblivious.

The third was looking carefully at the Doctor's body, which seemed to be glowing.

Nadia jumped to land on the leader's back and slam the gold coin against its breathing aparatus and scrape it back and forth. Kind of like chloroforming someone, only with a gold coin and an their chest. . . . Er.

She just kinda hoped that the glowing was a good thing.

Pippi sang louder to keep the commotion from getting the third Cyberman's attention away from the glowing Doctor body (TM).

I KNOW A SONG THAT GETS ON EVERYBODY'S NERVES!

She kinda hoped that Pip or somebody would dust the third one already, this song was getting on her nerves.

Door's been listening to the quiet scraping sounds and got the idea, especially once Pippi dropped the coin on her desk, so when the last Cyberman comes near her, she's ready with a small handful of gold dust. Maybe not enough, but she lunges forward and slaps it against the Cyberman's chest-unit, just the same.

And with that, the last two Cybermen were defeated, hurrah! The leader and the other hench-Cyberman fell to the ground.

And then, the Doctor stood up.
