Myth Into History: Final [Thurs/1st Period, Danger Shop]

When the students entered the Danger Shop for the final exam today, they would find it set up like the interior of the tent from the first class. Janice stood up near the front of the tent, waiting for everyone to assemble.

"Hope you wore comfortable shoes like I warned you last week," she said. "It's going to be an interactive final. The tomb on the other side of this dig site is said to be haunted . . . or at least, the original one was. The only thing haunting this one is your test. Your objective is to get through the tomb and out again, but you've got it easy. All you have to do is answer the questions, not dodge booby traps. One at a time, though. So line up here, brush up a little while you wait your turn, and then get back here. Do well enough on the test and I might even let you celebrate the end of the semester with a bang."

That said, she leaned back against the desk and waited.

The Test

Once you cross the grounds from the tent to the tomb (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final001.jpg), it's time to begin. Or just run through the tomb, examine the various features, and goof off, if you really want.

Question 1: Entering the Tomb

The door to the tomb is locked by a dial-like device (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final031.jpg) set with jewels. Above the dial is the first question:

Question 2: Down the Stairs

Upon entering the tomb you are faced with a dark, heavily cobwebbed staircase (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final032.jpg). A sign on the wall reads:

Question 3: The Antechamber

The chamber at the bottom of the stairs has carvings (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final034.jpg) in odd script (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final035.jpg) all over the walls. Beneath this, a tablet is propped up against the wall sporting the following translation:

Question 4: The Cache of Scrolls

Past the antechamber is a narrow hallway with an odd-looking round door (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final039.jpg) set into a wall. As you approach it, it slowly revolves to reveal a cache of scrolls (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final041.jpg) nestled safely in the rock, along with a bejeweled metal ring (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final043.jpg) seemingly ripe for the taking.

Take a scroll and unfurl it, and you'll read the following question:

Which mad Roman emperor turned himself into a demigod, until Xena defeated him? [* (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1089898.html)]

If you reach in and take the chakram (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final044.jpg) -- or half-chakram, as it turns out -- it will vibrate in your hands and lead you deeper into the tomb . . .

Question 5: Entering The Tomb Proper

. . . where you will find yourself in a dark chamber (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final064.jpg) that, as soon as you set foot in it, begins to slowly light up (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final065.jpg) as torches flare up (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final069.jpg) of their own accord.

Written on the far wall is the following question:

With that question answered, your attention would be drawn to . . .

Question 6: The Sarcophagus

. . . the center of the room, where an ornate sarcophagus (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final073.jpg) over which a skull keeps vigil stands. The lid of the sarcophagus slides open to reveal a muscular, leather-clad man (http://www.dyqatt.com/fh/mih/xwp-xenascrolls-final076.jpg) who rises from within it to ask you a question:

Question 7: Escape the Tomb!

But before you can dive through that rapidly-shrinking exit, the leather-clad man grabs you by the wrist and asks you to answer one final question:

Janice is waiting with the plunger handle of an old-fashioned TNT detonator.

What grades you think your characters should receive for the class and for the final; within reason, please. Also, if you'd like to subject your character to getting some absurdly unreasonable grade from Janice just because she's not objective (i.e. Janet getting extra credit just for being mean to Joxer, etc.) , let me know here.
