There are platters of Christmas cookies and a pitcher of punch on a table in the front of the room, and Elliot is wearing a green elf cap and earrings shaped like Christmas tree balls. "Hey, happy final day, happy four-days-until-your-break day. Have some cookies."

"There is a test at each of your seats; you have 30 minutes to complete it. After that, please turn to the pamphlet and pick a lab you would like to do. You don't need to complete it -- the time's really tight -- but I do expect you to show off proper lab technique as you choose and set up the experiment."

"Next semester I'm teaching an anatomy class, in case any of you want to keep going with me. If you don't, think of me next time you carve up a defenseless animal. Either way, I'll try to post your grades by Saturday."

Aeryn looks through the pamphlet, looks really alarmed at the egg dissection, and pulls Egg a little closer in his bowl. And then she sticks to the diffusion one.

Dissections weren't going to be on Teddy's agenda for a very long time, so he went for the Adaptation of the Human Hand lab.

It was fun, he didn't even need to tie his hand up, just changed it into a monkey hand. "Hee, monkey hand."

Willow worked on the muscle lab (http://www.troy.k12.ny.us/thsbiology/labs_online/home_labs/muscle_lab_home.html). The pamphlet kept flying up and smacking her elbow when she went to test the muscles of her check, thus making her slap herself.

She finally pinned the pamphlet down under a bunsen burner and kept going.

Peter did the "protien" lab, but was surprised to discover that it actually involved protein.
