The class was in the Danger Shop today for their final piece of assessment.

"Good afternoon. Inside you'll find Dickensian London. Namely, the London of A Christmas Carol. Something, however, had gone wrong. Despite being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, Ebenezer Scrooge has not discovered the true meaning of Christmas and thus has not gone to Christmas dinner with the Cratchett family. Fix it."

Molly grinned and waved as she went out the door to go find Scrooge. "If I have time, I definitely will," she said.

She went downstairs to see if she could find Scrooge.

"What d'ye want?" Scrooge barked from his desk.

"I want to know what's wrong," Molly said as she walked up and leaned on his desk.

"Everything's wrong ye barmy lass!" Except perhaps Scrooge's appauling Scottish accent. "I've been kept up all night by ghosts, didn't get a wink of sleep, had flashbacks galore, saw my own grave and now they expect me to change my mind and go and have Christmas dinner with people, only to start the book all over again and be a crotchety old man. Not again! Bah humbug!"

"What do you want to do?" Molly asked and started to fidget with stuff on Scrooge's desk.

"Be left alone! Not have to be involved in all the namby pamby Christmas garbage. Bah!"

Molly actually picked up a piece of paper from his desk and started absently reading it. "But don't you have fun at the end of the book? Everybody is happy and they're nice to you."

Molly smirked. "Yeah, but you know how it ends and it can be kind of fun to yell at people, can't it?"

Molly shrugged and continued to smirk. "Why not? As long as you say the words, does it really matter what you actually feel?"

"Well the text does have an omnipotent narrator." He rubbed his chin. "As long as I don't really have to be mean the whole time. You'll let the others know that it's all an act?"

Scrooge eyed her. "Okay then. We've come to an agreement." Scrooge grabbed his hat and went to have dinner.
