A/V - Theatre Tech Club Meeting (Fandom High Auditorium) 5-7 pm
Scooter promised food, so there's food - courtesy of the school's new chef: chicken and rolls and mashed potatoes, as well as a tossed salad - and some brownies he got from a bakery in town. Really, there's probably too much food, but Scooter is trying to channel Kermit's eternal optomism so he pushes that thought aside in favor of fiddling a bit more with the buffet he has set up on the edge of the stage. He wants this meeting to go well, wants it to not show that he spent seven years in retirement and hasn't done much in the way of backstage work in almost twice that long. He hopes the students will notice the signs he put up pointing the way to the meeting, hopes they'll come even just for the food, but stay to build sets and hang lights and do sound design with him. None of that's happened though, yet, so for the moment he sits on the edge of the stage and waits.

She pokes her head in the door and spots a solitairy figure sitting on the stage.
In an uncharacteristic burst of confidence, she walks up and introduces herself.
"Hi, I'm Allie. What are you doing here?"

Scooter smiles and offers her his hand to shake. The smile is brighter and looks a little less rote than the one he'd been sporting before she appeared.
"Hi, Allie. I'm Scooter - and I'm waiting for people to show up for the A/V - Theatre Tech Club meeting. I don't know if they're going to, though."

"Nice to meet you Scooter. So, what exactly does the Theatre Tech Club do?"

"Well, we do a lot of things. We design stuff and we build stuff and we work tech for school productions. I'm not sure whether Dawn has control of the costume shop or I do, but we definitely do lights and sound and sets. It can be a lot of work - particularly during hell week, but I think it's fun, anyway."
By the end of this speech, Scooter's begun to look really enthusiastic. He's moving his hands a lot, pointing at things as he talks. It's obvious he really loves everything he's talking about.
