This is today's Study Hall. It's basically a free period in which you can go and do whatever you want at Fandom High -- hang out with friends, study, explore the school, etc. -- just as long as you stay on school grounds.

It's one of my favorites, I just checked it out of the library. She holds it up so the girl can read the title, Paradise Lost

"Milton," I say, surprised. "Very good choice, although I prefer a good mystery. You know, kidnappings, intrigue, pirates."

"Pirates?" she asked, her ears perking up. "I quite like stories about pirates." She smiled warmly. "But most of them have not been published as far as I'm aware.
