Through a Glass Darkly: Spies and Spying; Week 13 - Period 3

As the students entered the Danger Room, they walked into the Great Hall of the castle they explored a few weeks ago. Aly was waiting, looking the slightest bit excited and greatly amused.

"Here you are," she said with a grin. "You spent one class period exploring this castle and last class I gave you maps to review. Now you get to put everything you've learned this term to use. Luckily you have a partner in case you don't remember quite everything."

She gestured to a side room in the hall. "I've laid out lockpicks, clothes, other basic spying supplies. Go outfit yourselves as you see fit and come back to see me, I've your assignment." She paused for a second then winked. "Oh yes, and you will have to talk to people to succeed. So prepare yourselves."

[OOC: My internets at home are still quite possibly out of service so this class is most definitely on SP throughout the week.]

Lockpicks and clothes are there for sure, mod other supplies within reason.

Jake didn't like the lockpicks, but he picked up a set anyway, along with what looked like servant's clothing. Then he waited for Teddy, while poking around in the pile to see if there was anything else handy there.

Teddy followed suit and grabbed servant clothing and a lockpick set too. He didn't think the lockpick set would really help him since it took him forever to get anything open. Easier to knock the doors down.

He waved to Jake. "Hey."

"Hey again." Jake held up a big shiny candlestick. "Do you think we'll need this?"

"Are you planning on bludgeoning people with it?"

"...Maybe?"

He looked at the candlestick, then back at Jake. "Okay, as long as you don't try hitting me with it."

Hikaru looked through the servant outfits, trying to find one that wouldn't look too baggy on his thin frame. The lock picks looked like a promising investment as well.

"I know servants can't all be this well-fed," Setsuna grumbled, also discovering thin-frame issues.

He pulled one out and held it up to himself. He was at least getting it right by length.... "If all else fails we could use saftey pins.."

"True," Setsuna said, having found at the very least a kerchief that she, pulling out her hairtie and letting down her hair, wrapped around her head and fastened under her chin. "But, if anything, something a little oversized might help. Better to hide any tool in."

Hikaru looked over while she was pulling on the kerchief, giggling a little at her new 'servant look' while he pulled out a few more that seemed more appropriate for what she had just suggested.
"I don't like I've ever seen you with your hair down."

"Ugh, it's a mess and it just ends up getting in the way," Setsuna said distastefully as she ran a hand through it, trying to floof out its flatness in back. "But far more discreet this way than my ponytail."

Schrodinger didn't really need lockpicks. Or other tools of entry. Still, Millennium training dictated that nothing was useless.

He took them all, dressed himself up as a servant before remembering his ears. After much thought, he exchanged them for a stable boy outfit, complete with a cap.

Anders had made a habit of bringing the lockpicks Aly had given him to class every week, so he didn't bother picking up a new set. He did, however, find a set of clothing that looked like it belonged to someone on the kitchen staff, and that amused him far too much to resist.

Weiss has his own picks, thank you. He selects a pretty basic, bland outfit of greys and cream colors. What? He's trying to blend.

Aeryn's not quite used to being able to dress like normal and do things like shoot off locks in practice, so she's frowning a little as she picks up a set of lockpicks. She's just going to frown at the clothes for a while.

Seely picked up a set of lockpicks and started changing into servant clothing.

Hamlet picked up a full set of lockpicks from the table. He poked through the servants' clothing to find a set that would fit him decently enough, and ended up with a cream coloured outfit meant for a general palace servant. He wrinkled his nose a bit at the outfit; it wasn't just having to wear a colour other than black for a change, it was also a part of him in the back of his mind that clearly remembered being a brash young princeling in Elsinore, and felt slightly repulsed at having to disguise himself as part of the hired help. Hamlet tried to repress this part as best he could -- there were other things to think about these days.

He looked around for his partner, and a place to change.

"Hey, Hamlet." Molly went to join him, already dressed in servants' clothing. She slipped a set of lockpicks into a pocket in her skirt.

"Hello, Molly," he answered, finishing dressing himself in servant clothing. "Are you ready to go?"

Molly nodded. "Yup," she said with a grin.

"Any suggestions on where to start spying?" he asked.

"We need to get out assignment first (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/1154491.html?thread=65529275#t65529275)," Molly reminded him.

Maia dressed like a maiden, her lockpicks tucked carefully in her bodice.
