Wilson had carefully dethawed and in some instances reheated the baked goodies that Phale had made and left for his Prophecy class. Schleping them up to the school, the young doctor headed into the class room and supressed a sigh at the homey configuration that reminded him of it's missing professor.

Setting up the baked nummies along with a group of hot beverages ranging from cider to cocoa, Wilson got himself some hot cider and a few gingersnap cookies and then settled down in an armchair to wait for the students to arrive.

When everyone was settled and in their seats, Wilson stood up, carefully took roll then set his cider aside for a moment.

"Good morning. As I'm sure you are all aware, Professor Aziraphale has had to leave us for a bit and I am helping his TAs cover his classes. Aziraphale left behind handouts for today's lab exercises and if you have any questions about the material, please speak with Miss Halliwell or Miss Belacqua. I will also be here if you have any general questions or concerns. Also, I wanted to let you all know that I am looking forward to today's performance. I have a video camera and will be taping it for Aziraphale to enjoy if when he returns."

Giving the class a reassuring smile, Wilson walked to where the handouts were sitting on the desk and began to pass them out to the class.

LAB TWELVE (FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8, SECOND PERIOD)

LECTURE: Onomancy (also sometimes referred to as onomamancy)is the process of divination through one’s name. This style is more frequently seen in China and Japan, where the characters used to spell a name also hold other meanings. It can, however, be done using the traditional meanings of Western names as well.

Graphology, or handwriting analysis, also has a parallel in the
scientific world. The difference is that while the science of analyzing handwriting is done to produce an understanding of the writer’s personality, the divinatory skill is used to produce a prediction for the writer.

"Marty," Bel growled. "Hit me with a power-stripping potion. It killed the demon half of me...."

Yes, he was still a little bitter about that.

"Bastard." Blair glared, totally shocked that Marty would do that. "Are you okay? Are you in pain? Did you go to the clinic?"

"Nothing the clinic can do," Bel said quietly. "That part of me is...just gone."

He should feel better about that than he did.

"I'm sorry, man. That's got to suck." Blair shook his head. "How are you doing?"

"Okay, I guess," he said. "It's just taking a little getting used to. And I'm worried about my father's soul."

"Maybe whats-his-face will let him go now that he knows there's nothing you can do." Blair said hopefully. "Does it feel really different being totally human?"

Bel shook his head. "Doubt it," he said. "He'll probably just kill me, too, when he finds out."

He sighed a little. "It's weird. I feel so weak. And cold."

"We're not going to let that happen, man." Blair shook his head firmly. "Nobody is killing anybody."

"Weak and cold?" Blair looked worried. "Are you sure you shouldn't go to the clinic? Do you want to borrow my flannel?"

"My jacket's okay for now, thanks," Bel said. He glanced out the window. "Not looking forward to being outside or anything in this weather, though."

"Just make sure you bundle up and wear a hat." Blair said absently.

"Are you going to hurt Marty?"

"Kinda want to," Bel admitted.

"I can totally understand that, man." Blair nodded. "I'm pretty angry at him and he didn't even do anything to me. But that's probably not the best idea right now."

Bel shrugged. "He's probably organizing the lynch mob to come take me out anyway."

"Lynch mob to take you out?" Blair gaped. "He should be worried about his own lynch mob! He killed half of another student!"

"I blew my second chance here," Bel mumbled. "I know there are people just waiting for that."

"Who's in charge of giving out second chances and who says you blew it?"

"I...killed a witch," Bel admitted softly. "That's why Marty hit me with the potion."

"Oh, man." Blair looked at his feet for a long moment. "Was it someone around here?"

Bel shook his head. "No. On the mainland. No one you should know. But I didn't wanna do it! Raynor made me!"

"Was he threatening your dad again?" Blair asked quietly.

"He cast a spell on me, I think," Bel said. "Made my demon come out."

"He did?" Blair bounced eagerly before remembering that bouncing wasn't a good idea today. "Okay, ow and also yay! Bel, you didn't blow your second chance! Getting a spell cast on you doesn't count. You weren't in control."
