Once everyone was seated, The Tick walked out onto the stage wearing a keen tux. He was ready to celebrate the holidays in style.

"Welcome, chums, to the 2006 Fandom High Holiday Pageant! This year, we're looking to make the pageant as broad as possible, covering several different holidays with several different methods of educating us all with fun! It's Funducation, not to be confused with Funded Education!"

"On the Holiday Tree of Funducation, information is the presents, and you are the children gathered around, hoping for the Hanukkah Wii of Information, or the X-Mas-Box of Knowledge! Our volunteers are the ornaments, making sure the Tree is shiny and festive! The participating classes are the lights that illuminate with organization and color! And I," Tick said, grinning broadly, "am a jolly man in a blue suit! I am not just your Master of Ceremonies tonight, I am also your Santa of Ceremonies! So please allow me to welcome you to this year's Tree of Funducation, the Holiday Pageant!"

[OOC: Please ~~wait for and then~~ follow the OCD. There is a thread for each performance, and then a Performance and Audience sub-thread for each. Please use the subthreads. Pretty self explanatory. Everyone should know what they're doing and which thread they're doing it in, hopefully. If, for some reason, we have threads that are not pinged into as of really late Friday night, I may get creative and randomly recruit people at the last minute if it doesn't Joss them just to make sure the pageant stands as being complete.

Sam's response was out of her mouth before she could think about it. "...dirty?"

"Sam!!!!" She said, turning bright red. "Not dirty! Didn't you see Greg earlier? He was the Festivus pole."

Sam gasped for breath. "Not helping the image go away here, Isabel."

Isabel rethought her words and started to choke.

"I blame Jack," Sam decided, still giggling, "He's getting all his hormones in the air and making everyone nuts." Nice scientific explanation, there, Carter.

"It's the pretty. It does it every time." Of course Isabel probably won't be able to use that excuse when she starts to laugh the next time she sees Greg.

Sam sighed and grinned a little goofily. "Yep. He certainly does have a lot of pretty."

"And Seely's not to bad himself. If you can get past the OMG he looks like Angel stage," she admitted. "Not that I ever had an issue with that."

"I guess I never really thought of Angel that way," Sam mused, "and no, Seely's not bad. Still...naked Jack tush is hard to beat."

"I'm not arguing," Isabel said, nodding vigorously. "Nope, not a bit."

Sam may have looked a little smug.

Isabel snickered. "Have fun when you get him alone later. I'd ask for a re-enactment."

"It might be Cedric's night," Sam admitted a little sadly. "I've kind of been monopolizing Jack's time lately, what with the injuries."

"Yeah, he was worried about you," she replied. "You look like you're feeling better though."

"I'm upright and can see out of both eyes again," Sam smiled, "so that's good."

"Always, I'm just glad that in the end I was able to walk away with no major damage," Isabel said.

"Always what I look for in a fight," Sam said, completely seriously. "It never works out that way, but that's what I look for."

She nodded, "It makes sense. I've been lucky. So far the worst I had to deal with the dream demon in LA."

"Dream demon?" Sam didn't think she'd heard about this.

"Back in August Angel asked me to come to LA to help him fight a demon that was killing kids in their sleep," Isabel explained. "He needed me to get him into their dreams so he could fight the demon. Ordinarily if I go into people's dreams, I can't change things or be hurt. But the demon changed things and I wound up a little battered."

"Oh, yikes," Sam looked Isabel over, even though the incident was months ago now.

"It wasn't fun," she admitted wondering how the conversation had gotten so serious. "But in the end, Angel killed it."

"Yay, dead demon," Sam nodded.

"The best kind. Bel and certain other peaceful types excluded of course."

"Oh, of course," she snickered.
