Introduction to World History to 1600 (Terran)
Wednesday 1:00-3:00 pm

Into the classroom, Seimei glides effortlessly, posting his scroll for the class discussion. Stepping back, he moves to the corner of the room to monitor the conversations with an idle smile.

Discuss the positive impacts emperor Augustus had on Rome during his reign.

Augustus was traditionally considered the greatest Roman emperor. Augustus is actually a title, meaning "revered one" which he aquired in 27BC.

In exchange for near absolute power, he gave Rome 40 years of civic peace and increasing prosperity, celebrated in history as the Pax Romana, or Roman Peace. He created Rome's first permanent army and navy and stationed the legions along the Empire's borders, where they could not meddle in politics. A special unit, the Praetorian Guard, garrisoned Rome and protected the Emperor's person. He also reformed Rome's finance and tax systems.

See, now that would completely fry my brain *grins*

And I'm pretty sure that most know where we are *laughs* If I'm not there, try down the hall at the door with the large student elections poster on... damned if I can remember the number.
