Constant Vigilance 2, Session 13. Friday the 7th, A Classroom. Period 4

The Doctor was waiting in the classroom. Along with the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, and the Doctor.

The one the students are familiar with was sitting in his chair behind the desk.

The eldest looking one was sitting to the right of the Doctor with the ears, fiddling with his cane. He harrumphed a little. His hair was white, his outfit simple and in dark colors.

Not far off was the Doctor with the mop of hair in a Beatles-like haircut, with a black frock coat over a light blue shirt. He wore a bow tie and plaid trousers. He had a recorder in his hands, but he wasn't playing it.

Another Doctor was going over some figures, writing on the chalkboard with a small piece of chalk. He was wearing a bright red velvet jacket over a frilly silk shirt. And a cape. He was, in fact, also wearing a cape. His hair was silver colored, and rather well kept.

Standing close by was a Doctor wearing a brown felt hat and coat, with an improbably long multicolored scarf. Under his hat was an equally improbably mop of brown curly hair. He was playing with a yo-yo, bringing it up and down.

The youngest looking one was dressed in a sort of cricket outfit, with a bit of celery pinned to his lapel. He was blonde, and rather cheerful looking.

The outfit on the blonde curly haired Doctor was a bit of an eyesore. A multicolored coat that clashed with itself, not to mention the horrible shoes. He had his arms crossed and was leaning against a wall.

Another Doctor was fiddling with his black umbrella, which had a prominent red question mark for a handle. He was sitting on the floor, for some reason.

The last Doctor was in a green frock coat, not unlike one from a Wild Bill Hickock costume. He had a silk cravat, but for some reason was wearing no socks. He seemed rather gleeful, in fact.

The Doctor, the one with the ears, stood up after the bell rang.

"Today, you'll be asking me questions. Any of me. I'd like to introduce you to the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, the Doctor, and the Doctor."

[ooc: EDIT: OCD is Up! Come! Play! And if I appear to be slow to ping at some point, it is because my brain has melted out of my ears.]

Jack wandered over to the Doctor, errr, this Doctor, broad smile on his face. "Love the coat. But what happened to your socks?"

Jack couldn't help grinning back. "They're great shoes. Socks are overrated, anyway." He looked curiously around the class, then back to this Doctor "So, seriously. You're him? All of him? How does that work?"

"I take it that's not just a random example?" Jack asked, wincing slightly at the tale. "He, our Doctor that is, mentioned something similar, but I didn't know whether to believe him. That's a hell of a system. You get to live forever and get a pretty new body to play with. Very pretty, in some cases," he added, grin tending towards the wicked.

"Is it?" Jack looked intrigued. "It's certainly a very nice body. I'd think living forever, even with a new body, would get tedious after awhile. But until then, you could have a lot of fun. Especially learning what a new body can do," he said with a laugh. "I have to ask-- where do you fit? Do you come after our Doctor, or before?"

"You could ask?" Jack suggested, smiling at their Doctor. "Actually, if this is a common occurrence, gathering all your selves together in one place, I'm surprised you don't know."

Jack stared at the Doctor. Then at the other Doctors. "Please tell me there isn't a forthcoming dire circumstance. Please." He leaned against a nearby desk and rolled his eyes. "After the trolls last weekend, I was hoping for this one to be dire free."

"That sounds dire enough." he laughed. "Are you guys staying long? Because if there's not going to be any dire, I could buy you a coffee, pick your brains on the best way to deal with an older version of yourself?" He shifted a bit closer and glanced down at the Doctor's feet. "Maybe get you some socks?"

"Ah well, just a thought." Jack smirked. It'd been worth a try. "Got any advice on dealing with yourself? Seem like you might be the expert on that one."

Jack perked up, grin flashing across his face. "How agreeable? And I never said I was giving up," he pointed out. "So how 'bout it, Doc? Can I buy you a coffee? You can tell me all about yourself. Selves."

"What?" he asked, intrigued, but slightly wary.

"I really like the coat, sir," Phoebe said sincerely.

Hey, how often did you see a green frock coat?

"May I ask where you did find it?" She smiled. "Oh, and I'm Phoebe."
