It's going to take more then two days of imprisonment without food, water, or proper toilet facilities to make Mary Poppins miss a day of work.

There is, however, a large tea service set off to one side. Coffee, tea, and a large variety of pettifores set out to one side.

Once the students had what they wanted to eat and drink, Mary addressed the class.

"Well, I'm glad to see you all here after this past weekend. I'm just going to say that I'm very pleased with you how you all handled yourselves. ~~Even Ranma, who thought about using diapers as a weapon. Which actually isn't all that unbelievable if I were to stop and think about it which I won't because... ew.~~

Normally, this would be a review class, but you all did very well with Penguin, and we... Unfortunately, had to skip Spider so... This is a free period. You may review any language you like if you are so inclined.

Please be aware, however, that the next session you will all start work on your final project. This will be a presentation of some sort in the language, or languages, of your choice. You may do this alone or in groups of no more then four.

So you may want to start thinking about that now. Otherwise. The period is yours."

"I see..." He had to admit that was impressive...while at the same time rather nervewracking.
He nods. "That's neat. I've always loved language, just never thought it possible to understand so many.."

"Shall I tell you a secret Kaoru?"

He blinked, "...sure?"

"You did, and so did your brother." She said. "Once."

Kaoru bit his lip a little. "And it was a beneficial thing to learn at that!" He held up a finger and laughed nervously. They'd made plenty of mistakes before, but ones in front of teachers and adults were always the most regretful.

Mary cocked an eyebrow.

"I'm not sure I catch your meaning. Nor do I think you've caught mine." she said with an amused smile.

He furrowed his brow a little. "Oh..well...what did you mean, by that..?"

"That, at one time in your life, you did understand just as many languages as I do."

He was relieved but at the same time, very confused. "...when was that and where was I?"

"How far back do your earliest memories go?"

He paused. "I think...five years old." He looks up, as if searching his brain before refocusing on her.

"Between when you were born and some time before that would be the 'when' then... As for the 'where'... I suspect you were in Japan?"

"Yea. Tokyo." He nods.

"There you are then."

"I don't...really get it." He admitted. "Why before I could remember?"

"Because the forgetting is part of growing up. Everybody forgets eventually to some degree... Well, almost everybody."

"So...you're saying...we knew it all when we were younger and just forgot?" The idea was an interesting one, if that was what she meant.

"That is it essentially." Mary nodded. "Yes."

"Cool."

"Yes."
