Elliot looked slightly frazzled as she stood before the class. "Hi! Somehow, it has been over a month since we started the sex ed unit, between one thing and another." And her fear that if she tried teaching it again, she'd heave a nervous breakdown. "We're wrapping it up today, and then next week we move into our final unit for the semester, which is a quickie first aid course."

"I'm going to start by making you kind of never even want to think about your no-no places. Sexually transmitted diseases, or STDs, are, um, diseases that are transmitted sexually.By age 21, about 1 in 5 Americans has contracted an STD that needs treatment." She continued with a brief but informative lecture on common STDs and how they were spread. "And I found a goofy little filmstrip from the 70s about how STDs are everyone's problem, so ... yeah. Don't be embarrassed." Easy for her to say.

She cued the movie, and then another one. "That second film was how they used to teach sex ed in the 50's and '60s. Well, not the part at the beginning, but..."

"Anyhow, you should all have presentations on a contraceptive of your choice. I want you to pair up and explain whatever method you picked to your partner. Discuss the pros and cons of each."

Summer waited for someone to pair up with.

There's no way in which partnering Summer in this particular class could be anything but awkward. This doesn't stop Shawn from sitting down in a seat next to her with a smile and a deceptively calm, "Morning," of greeting, though.

"Hi," Summer greeted with a wave. She definitely wasn't thinking about flailing. Nope.

In the intrest of delaying the inevitble actual class topic, Shawn started out on fairly simple ground. "We really need to work on that whole seeing each other outside of class thing."

"Yes, definitely something we need to work on," Summer agreed, grateful the actual topic was being delayed. "Maybe we can even work on that this weekend."

Shawn grinned, and nodded, "How 'bout we start a little earlier than that," he said leaning back in his chair. "You free tonight by any chance?"

Summer grinned as well. "Tonight? I don't think I have any plans. Unless something crazy happens."

"So, about seven thirty? We can meet up in the lobby, and see if we can't find something to do in town," Shawn said with a shrug. "There has to be something out there to do on an evening."

Summer nodded. "I'm sure we'll figure something out. If not, we can even stay in and watch a movie or something."

"Between us, we'll come up with something," Shawn said with a nod. "There's a lot of stuff going on in this place, despite the fact it's so tiny."

"Yeah," Summer said. "Maybe we can even finally check out Cafe Fina."

Shawn chuckled, "Yeah, we never did get round to that, did we?"

"Might be good to see what the place is like at long last."

Setsuna tapped a pen impatiently on her desk, in a manner that made it clear that, if anyone partnered up with her, they'd better make it quick.

Jamie sat down and smiled at Setsuna. The packed duffel back he's carrying also might be a sigh he'd like to make this quick.

"Hey Setsuna! Got a partner?" Jamie asked and then plowed into his presentation without waiting for an answer. "I chose abstinence. There nothing to buy and no instructions to follow other than 'Don't do it'. What about you?"

Setsuna's eyes did take in the duffel bag with a slightly piqued interest before her eyes snapped back to Jamie. "Sterilization," she said, stiffly, before going into a near-encyclopedic schpiel about it in a short clipped tone that conveyed both her annoyance at having to sit through class right now as well as her disappointment that castration hadn't been an option. Sterilization was the closest one, though, to that.

Jamie paled at times during the near-encyclopedic schpiel and detail of the sterilization process but managed to grin when it was over. "Steriliazation: Harsh but very Effective."

Her gaze shifted to Jamie duly. She decided not to mention her perfered method after all. Mostly because she was in the sort of mood where she just might try it.

There was something about that gaze...

"Sowedonehere?Good!Seeya!"

If the door hadn't been open there probably would have been a Jamie-shaped hole in it.

Well, hell, if Jamie was leaving, she was too. She stood up, adjusted her skirt, slung her bag over her shoulder, and left.

She still had two hours to kill, though. MIght as well take her time....
