He's sitting at the desk, making a list of people he's got to get Hanukkah presents for this year.

And now he's divided it up into "make something" and "buy something".

Bridge? Is a big fan of online shopping.

He's taking a break from present-shopping to build a pyramid of books. Just because.

And now it's lunch. No coming in unless you work here!

Bridge is drawing up a list of parts that he'll need for a couple of the projects he's got planned.

It's sixth period, so now he's studying for Hunting.

Bridge is off in class. Perhaps there's someone else who can help you?

*collapses and falls asleep curled up on post*

Z peered around the door and said, "Hey, can I, like, hide out in here for a while?"

"Good morning," Yomiko said through a yawn as she headed for her office. "If anyone asks I'm not napping." Except for the part where she will be.

Ms. Readman perched behind the desk, reading The Idiot's Guide to Christmas. She figured she should bone up on her students' cultural traditions.

Little did she know Bridge was Jewish.

"Sure," Bridge nods. "What's up?"

"Oh, nothing much," Z said, instead of, 'You'd be very proud of me. I didn't pack my bags and run away into the wilds of 2006 yesterday.'

Bridge narrows his eyes. "Somehow I don't believe that."

Z looked away and said, "Lit class yesterday hit a nerve, is all."

Bridge hops out from behind the counter and goes to give Z a hug. "I'm sorry," he says.

Z sighed and leaned on Bridge's shoulder. "I'm kind of a mess. I don't know if you've noticed."

He has a plan? A plan?

OH NOES THE BFF IS A CYLON!!!

Pippi flounces right up to Bridge.

"Hi Bridge!"

Rory is being sneaky again.

Silly girl.

So that's why Bridge may have seen her enter the library a few minutes prior, but now there's a very, very sneaky Rory peeking up over the desk from where she's crouched on the floor.

He's no more a Cylon than I am!

...oh. Wait.

"Hi Rory."

Rory sighs. "You found me!"

"Yeah, and I'm so well put-together," Bridge snorts.

Bridge slides a cookie across the counter towards Rory. "Yep. You weren't sneaky enough."

"Hey Pippi!" Bridge waves cheerfully. "What's up?"

"I'm looking for nautical charts of the area... Do we got any here?"

"You are!" Z argued. "You are so lucky, Bridge."

"Of course!" Bridge says, leading Pippi over to where charts and maps of all sorts are stored.

"What do you mean?" Bridge asks.

"Oooh! It's like a treasure trove!" Pippi said bouncing and clapping her hands. "How much stuff do we have of the waters around Fandom?"

Z flailed. "You've got...parents, and you chose this, and, okay, I chose this too, but if I unchoose this I go to jail, you know."

"Parents who lied to me and basically made the choice *for* me," Bridge points out.

"This is true," Z admitted. "But you can still unchoose it and not end up in a bitty card."

"I guess," Bridge says. "Would you *want* to unchoose this?" he asks.

Z bit her lip. "Every now and then I think about what I'm going to be doing. And I think about...about Jack. Or some kid like Jack. And sticking them in a card. And. I don't know."

"I don't think the system is perfect," Bridge admits. "But... isn't that something *we* could do? Work to change it?"

"You think they'll listen to us?" Z asked. She didn't exactly sound like she thought Bridge was adorably optimistic, but it was kind of implied.

Bridge gives Z a "duh" look. "When we're Power Rangers."

"I still say no way they're going to make me a Power Ranger."

"Would all of the psychic people in the room please raise their hands?" Bridge says, raising his hand.

"Okay, so you've got a point there," Z conceded.

"Damn right," Bridge says with a nod. "You'll see."

"But I tried so hard," she says pitifully, taking the cookie.
