Thanksgiving- The cafeteria- Thursday, 4 pm onwards

Once the food is cooked, it's time to set it out, and start yelling at people to get their butts down to dinner.

There's a full spread, complete with all the traditional Thanksgiving stuff. Turkey, sides, and all the fun dessert stuff will be brought out later. There's a cooler full of drinks (non-alcoholic, as hi, Jaye did invite the principal) and everything should be good. And if it isn't... eh. Deal.

"I agree. Plus it has the added benefit of being close enough for kisses," Isabel said, nodding. "I wonder if Greg will be willing to carry me back?"

"I'm sure he would." Cedric nodded. "If not, I could always turn him into something for you."

"No transmogifying the boyfriend please," she protested. "Once as a hedgehog was enough."

"And I didn't even do that," he said, laughing. "Greg gets out of this time. If he doesn't carry you back, I'll go fetch my broomstick and fly you up to your room."

"In that case I think I'm going to collapse on a couch and whimper until you do," Isabel grinned. "Jack said flying was fun."

"How can I resist someone who whimpers?"

"You'd need really strong willpower. Especially if puppy-eyes were added to the mix." Just to test his willpower, Isabel demonstrated.

"Now, that's just unfair," he said, mock scowling.

"It's my secret weapon. I only bring it out when I really, really need it," she laughed.

"You've used that on Greg before? On Jack?"

"I think I used it on Jack once," Isabel grinned. "I forget what for."

"I wonder if I can do it." And yes, Cedric actually attempted the puppy dog eyes.

"You might need to add a little bit to it," she suggested. "Stick your lower lip out and let it quiver, just a bit."

"All right," he said and did so. It felt odd but he kept doing it.

Isabel laughed. "Keep practicing and that might actually work."

"Won't I look odd practicing my facial expressions?"

"The trick is not to do it where people can see."

"And where did you learn all this, Isabel?"

"It's in the female DNA. It's instinctive."

"Is it?" Cedric eyed her knowingly. "That's something I didn't know. Odd."

Isabel tried for innocent. "You learn something new every day."

"This place is starting to make Hogwarts look like a normal, dull school," Cedric said, laughing and shaking his head.
