Thanksgiving- The cafeteria- Thursday, 4 pm onwards

Once the food is cooked, it's time to set it out, and start yelling at people to get their butts down to dinner.

There's a full spread, complete with all the traditional Thanksgiving stuff. Turkey, sides, and all the fun dessert stuff will be brought out later. There's a cooler full of drinks (non-alcoholic, as hi, Jaye did invite the principal) and everything should be good. And if it isn't... eh. Deal.

"This isn't bad," Zuko remarked as he gobbled down the food.

Peter nodded. "All the girls did it. And Dean, Watch out for the potatoes though. I think I lost part of my thumb in there." He grinned, completely teasing.

Zuko frowned as he glanced at Peter's hands. Blinking, he went back to eating.

"Sorry, bad joke," Peter replied, glancing up from his turkey. "Does your country go in for the type of feasts where everyone eats until they're ready to explode? Or is that not precisely done there?"

Zuko shook his head. "There are dinners, but they are more formal than this. Feasts tend to have fireworks."

"We're more formal too usually," Peter replied. He put two and two together. "Fireworks? Can you do those with the firebending?"

"No, you need explosives," he paused. "But there are performers who can give shape to the fire."

"Ah, similar type of fireworks to ours then," Peter said. He thought about the second part. "Give shape like making a fire letter or something?"

"Our writing is harder than yours," Zuko pointed out. "Shapes like a dragon."

"How so?" Peter asked. "The writing, I mean."

"It is simpler to write one letter in your language than to write a word in mine," Zuko shrugged.

"Yes, I picked that part up," Peter said, dryly. "Not that my question was exactly clear. What does your writing look like that it's more complicated?"

"It is like ancient Chinese in this world," Zuko replied as that seemed the easiest explanation as he didn't have a pen on him.

That gave Peter a vague impression of squiggles and using brushes so he nodded still not entirely sure.
