Fencing Club: Salle, 5pm

The salle was set up as usual when people came in.  Peter smiled at everyone as they came in and waited until all were gathered to speak.  "Good afternoon, everyone.  I hope everyone's week is going well and no one is too horribly distressed that we don't have class Thursday and Friday."  He grinned at the last.

"Alanna's graciously agreed to demonstrate for us.  She has more of a Western style than Zuko or Setsuna uses, and she's very, very good."  Peter grinned and bowed slightly to her.  "If anyone else wishes to demonstrate in future weeks, do let me know."

"After Alanna's demonstration, do work on your forms and moves.  I'd love to work with all of the newer swordspeople for a bit if you all are amenable.  And remember to warm up."

Conner did his usual soccer warmups, then spent another fifteen minutes or so focusing on stretching his arms. Because after all, he might have been better with his feet, but you couldn't hold a sword too well with your toes.

Door stretches. And giggles a bit every time she glances at Peter or Willow. If you think it's because she's picturing them in eyepatches, well, you're probably telepathic, but you're not wrong.

Alanna looked almost friendly as she picked up her sword. At least, you couldn't see all her teeth she when she smiled. "My style is apparently very close to this Earth's Medieval style." She went through a series of blocks and other moves that the mun knows nothing about shhhh first slowly and then at a more normal pace. "Any questions?"

Pippi is not new to swords but is new to formal training, so she works on forms until somebody asks her to spar.

She had a look of deep concentration, and as though she had a specific target in mind.

If you guessed "Whoever came up with the idea of a FOUR DAY WEEKEND to deny students valuable days of school" you'd be right.

Setsuna was idly working through some of the Iron Umbrella techniques she'd been reading up on with her sword. If she couldn't get them with a familiar weapon, she'd be hopeless trying it with something like a freakin' umbrella.
