The computer lab's lights were darkened as the students entered today and the desks were spread out so it was harder for the kids to talk. Each desk was equipped with ~~totally moddable~~ snacks.

"Today we're going to be chatting in chatrooms." Abby said, walking to the center of the room to give a short lecture about the history of chatrooms. "I want you guys to be able to chat effectively, so I'm not going to be taking up too much of your time with lecturing. Also, I'm making this an open chatroom, so besides random strangers...other students could sign in and talk as well. Just remember that when you're talking about hooking up for something kinky."

thinkstoomuch: Sciuto's class. We're supposed to be learning something from this.

EggWhitesOnly: So what have you learned?

Thinkstoomuch: You hang out on AIM at random times?

EggWhitesOnly: Pfft. AIM Sucks. Trillian all the way. And you are only learning now that I'm random? 0_o

thinkstoomuch: I'm kind of slow sometimes. I don't know if this computer has that tr- thingie.

EggWhitesOnly: *Pats the girlfriend on head in a patronizing fashion* Yes but I love you anyway. I have no classes today! I should taunt you with my lack of class.

thinkstoomuch: *bites boyfriend's patronizing fingers*
thinkstoomuch: Isn't government today? Or was that last semester?

EggWhitesOnly: OW! *glares* That's no so much a class as listening to Professor Lyman expound. Endlessly. With footnotes. However seeing him react to the democrats winning last week was fun. He threw a muffin at me.

EggWhitesOnly: Probably because he didn't have a rock. And because I asked what his secret plan was to fight inflation.

Door, after talking with Jamie, notices that thinkstoomuch is online, and pings her.

Okay, so Door's vaguely aware that the AOL tech support man isn't actually the same as the little yellow running man, but they're clearly cut from the same cloth.

thinkstoomuch: Jerk. Um, are you sure you want to know what the name means?

xWeLLhuNg1983: I'm guessing it doesn't have anything to do with how well the wires attached to the computer are hung?

thinkstoomuch: No. It's more about .... you know. Guys.

xWeLLhuNg1983: ...It's about hanging boys?

thinkstoomuch: More about ... parts of boys. That can hang.

xWeLLhuNg1983: That's a silly name to be handing out to a girl. It's clearly false advertising.
