Fencing Club: Salle, 5pm

Peter was looking perhaps a bit under the weather, but he was in the salle and setting up at 5pm because wild horses couldn't have prevented it.  He nodded at the other students.  "Good afternoon, all.  I don't actually have much to say so go to it.  Pair up or not, and so make sure to stretch out first."

Peter blinked. "Errr. Of this time? I know Space Battles."

"Space battles?" Zuko repeated with a frown.

"It's a series of movies with sword fighting and some sort of magic," Peter replied. "What do you need to know about pop culture for?"

"Our teacher wants us to a presentation about one aspect of pop culture, or something," Zuko said with a frown that looked suspiciously like a scowl.

Peter frowned. "Why?"

"They think it's a good assignment?" Zuko shrugged. It was best not to wonder about the 'why' part in Fandom.

"Point," Peter replied. "You could do it on swordwork in movies." He grinned. "The movies are pop culture and watching them wouldn't be that horrible."

Zuko brightened up a bit at the thought. "Are there a lot of movies with swordwork?"

Peter nodded. "Absolutely. Space Battles is a big one. And the King of the Bracelets movies are fairly recent and have some good fighting. I think the director who made the Serpent movie has a few others with swordwork. Then if you look at movies in the past, when I was a kid, there were a whole bunch."

"Do you know where I can find them?"

"The library has DVDs," Peter replied. "You should be able to watch them in the Common Room or one of the computer labs."

Zuko was well and truly staying away from any sort of computer, thank you very much. "It sounds like I might not be able to watch them all if there are that many."

"Perhaps not, but you could watch say a few of two different types and compare them?" Peter suggested. He grinned. "Throw in the Serpent movie and you've already seen one."

"That movie was dumb," Zuko grumbled, still annoyed at the end.

"Good fighting though," Peter replied. Because that really was the important part.

"Yes," Zuko relented. He still hated the ending.

"Better idea than singing," Peter said. And he was oh so definitely teasing.

"Dancing?" Peter asked, trying to hide a grin.

Peter came from a court where dancing was almost as important as fighting. "Really? Not even at Court?"
