Coffee, donuts and juice were set on a table at the front of the class, and Elliot handed out the lab as the students walked in.

"Hey, guys. Today we're going to learn about blood types, which is kind of like DNA but with training wheels on, in that they used to be used for identification back in the dark ages before we had DNA testing. Or, you know, 15 years ago.

"In the human population, there are four major blood types -- O, A, B and AB, and then each can be Rh-negative or Rh positive. In a typical human population, roughly a third each will be A positive and O positive, and the other six groups will split the final third."

Elliot continued with her lecture, explaining antigens, transfusions, and other factors relating to blood type.

"Two activities today, one serious -- well, graded, anyhow -- and one completely goofy. First, I want you to pair up and do one of the activities in your lab handouts. It's your choice whether you do the one with the baby or the one with the murder.

Second, if you have time I want you to look at this handout about the Japanese blood type theory of personality and see how it applies to yourself. There's a test on the bench that will let you type your own blood if you don't know. Like, I'm AB, which makes me, 'Cool, controlled, rational. Sociable and popular. Empathic.' Huh.

"That's it for today, so please get to work."

"He's a schmuck, but I doubt he's *that* much of a schmuck," Parker said. "I think he'd want to know that Lonnie made a try at hurting you. And weren't you going to start sharing more crap with him?"

Isabel sighed, "Yes, I do need to tell him. I'm just not sure I'm ready to call. My luck he'll think it's my fault Lonnie came to town."

Parker raised an eyebrow, then grinned. "I can hang out on the extension, and verbally kick his butt if he gets out of line?"

"Nah, I think I'm just going to take the coward's way out and email him. I'll copy Liz, Maria and Michael. Between the four of them, one of them should read it." Isabel sighed, "But in the meantime I need to deal with the damage here. I still need to talk to Dawn and Cedric."

"And Seely Booth. Unless you want me to kill him before you talk to him?" Parker said hopefully.

"Seely?" she asked. "What's up with idiot boy?"

"Well, what with you -- I mean Lonnie, I assume-- standing him up on Saturday, and then him talking about me and Willow and orchid songs last night--"

Isabel blinked. "She made a date with Seely? Oh my god, I'm going to have to kill her."

"Apparently. He was crying in his beer over it on Saturday. I actually felt sorry for him. Then he got more than carried away on the Radio, and I'll be extracting my pound of flesh with tweezers, I think."

"Did you explain the evil twin thing? Or do I have to add him to me list of people to apologize to?" she asked. "He must have come by when I was down apologizing to Jack."

"I didn't realize that Lonnie was the stander-upper until I heard the Radio. Willow was very happy with you." She rolled her eyes. "Considering what he came up with the next day, I'm glad she had that moment."

"I can only imagine," Isabel laughed. "I could sit with popcorn and watch them bicker."

"I'm considering selling tickets for the next time they're in a room together. Except if English Peter turns up, we'll need a referee and an umpire as well."

"Now that could be highly entertaining," Isabel said. "What else have I missed due to being emo or in emo recovery?"

"I'm going on a recruitment dinner at my father's request tonight. Because he found out about the arrest, the recital, figured out that I dated Jack, and basically, he's not here to give me hell. So he must inflict it by remote."

Isabel rolled her eyes. "Oh god...Should I come by with chocolate tonight? Or would you prefer a coffee or something tomorrow?"

"Coffee tomorrow. God knows what kind of mood I'll be in when I get back. It could be fine," Parker said dubiously. "Or at least, not torture... yeah, anyway. Chocolate *and* coffee tomorrow, I think."

"Sounds like a plan. We can even live dangerously and combine the coffee and the chocolate," she suggested. "Perhaps mochas with extra whipped cream?"

"And chocolate shavings. And cinnamon. And maybe extra syrup," Parker agreed. "Thanks, Isabel."
