Student Council [lunch]

Josh was still in a mood that could be described as "deliriously happy."

"Hello!" he said cheerily as the Student Council filed into the classroom. "In honor of possibly the Best Week Ever, help yourself to the finest muffins and bagels in all the land!" He waved his hands at the selection from J,GOB that had been dumped oh-so-artistically on a couple of desks.

"We have a project! Dean Tick has given the next assembly--the one on November 17th--to us to plan. I'm assuming that none of you want to reenact the Nixon-Kennedy debates--my first thought--so I'm open for any ideas you can come up with." He gave Jamie a look. "That doesn't include an orgy."

"Something interactive?" Peter asked. "Does this have to be an educational assembly or can it be something fun?"

"Alanna's right if she's saying what I think she is um...we have had a lot of speakers at the assemblies. Maybe something that just involves students and teachers would be nice?"

"I agree, something interactive with students and teachers would be nice."

Josh nodded. "Okay, intereactive. What are you thinking? Game show? Feats of strength and/or mental agility?"

"Oooh! A game show would be cool! We could pit the different floors of the dorms against eachother... Or students vs teachers? Or pair up groups of students with teachers?"

Marie nodded. "I like that idea," she said. "Maybe some sort of personal trivia thing. Like how much do the teachers know about the students and how much do the students know about the teachers?"

"Bental." Alanna chimmed in. "Gabe shod bight be fud."

Game nights! Cafeteria food! Orgies!

"Jabie!" Alanna glared at the world in large.

"On the whole, students seem to want the cafeteria to be open more often, but there are hardly ever any people in there when it is open... How can we get more people into the cafeteria for meals? It's not like the food is bad..."

"Perhaps the solution shouldn't be to keep the cafeteria open," Peter replied. "Perhaps we should look into supplying the Common Rooms with food on the weekends. Food in Common Rooms always draws a crowd."

"That's very true. Stocking the fridge for the weekend would encourage people to make their own food or encourage people to cook for others who might not be able to afford to otherwise."

Peter nodded. "And there's enough people who like to cook that it would probably be good for them as well. Perhaps if we stocked the cupboards with basic provisions then we could just add milk and such on the weekends for perishables."

"I think that's a brilliant idea!" Pippi clapped her hands. "Now we just need to figure out the budget."

"I suppose we could figure out how much it costs to run the cafeteria on those days and work from there," Peter replied. "I can't imagine having extra food ordered would be that much more expensive."

"No, probably not."

Josh loves winning!

I'm still not very interactive and probably won't be till Mondayish, but feel free to poke at the sickly girl.

And yes, this is one of the things she'd drag herself out of bed for.
