Introduction to Political Science

Explain to me in detail the difference between a presidential democracy and a parliamentary democracy. What are the similarrities? What are the pros and cons of each type?

In a presidential democracy, the executive and legislative branches are more balanced, whereas in a parliamentary democracy, the executive/legislative separation is much less clear. Also, in a parliamentary democracy, there is generally one ceremonial head of state and one head of government, while in a presidential democracy, they are usually one and the same.
