"Good afternoon, class. I hope you had a good break. Today, we'll be talking about the merengue, but first I want to talk about your final project."

"Now, as I told you all, you will be creating a dance video in groups. After a lot of thought, I decided that it would best if you were sorted into pairs."

He wrote up the names on the board.

"Now, I want you to spend some time at the end of class talking with your partner, so we'll end dance practice early. Nadia, please come up here and we'll show them the merengue," El said, as he began his lecture on the merengue.

Nadia could dance if she wanted to. She could leave her friends behind. Because her friends don't dance, and if they don't dance then they're weren't no friends of hers.

Of course, some of her friends were in this class. So they were still her friends.

Or something.

Either way, she's dancing.

Lana wanted to merengue, really she did, but between massive depression, massive embarrassment and massive hangover? She wasn't doing all that well.

"No fog," Sam said immediately, remembering the music recital. "Um, so, maybe we should pick a song, first? Or, wait...we could go with different versions of the same song, dancing differently to each one? Or we could take videos of *other* people dancing, then put music under them?"
