[The Gym, Cheerleading Practice, after classes]

Alec rolled out the mats and turned on the music as he waited for everyone to show up. When everyone had, he turned down the sound a little to address the group.

"Okay, so Buffy couldn't pull herself out of bed or whatever, which means I'm stuck with actually doing my co-captain-ish duties," he said, not looking honestly very annoyed.

"She did tell me what she wants us all to do though, and it involves this crappy ass song and some dance moves -- we're focusing on working as a unit, getting timing down and hating the early nineties. I'm kind of glad I hadn't even been born yet, if this was what music sounded like then, really.

"First, take fifteen minutes to warm up and practice whatever you need," Alec said, turning the volume back up.

[ooc: wait for ocd! COME CHEER DAMN YOU. *cough* um, it's all [livejournal.com profile] 1ordinarygirl's fault. honest.]

"Why did you slap him?" Hey, if it was deserved, who was she to complain. The reasons she could think of why a girl would slap a guy though gave he a moment of worry.

"I thought he was someone else, he wasn't, and I, er, umm, didn't respond in the quite the best way possible. It was totally my fault not his." D bit her lip. "Anyway, if you can avoid hating me, tell me everything?!"

"I wouldn't hate you," Molly assured her. "I met Ray at the meet and greet thing for the new students and he let me pick him up to prove how strong I was. And then we talked a few other times and we went to Homecoming together. We went to play pool once too and after that I told him I didn't want to date both him and Eric. Then, the day before Halloween, he kissed me and we went trick-or-treating together." She grinned in remembrance and sighed. "He was dressed as a Mountie."

"Well, he's certainly a handsome fellow. Looks like my sorta ex-boyfriend, actually." D winked. "Did you get pictures taken at Homecoming? I didn't see you. Sounds like you've been having a good time!"

"We did get our pictures taken at Homecoming. And I have been having a very good time." Molly grinned again. "My new boyfriend makes a very pretty Mountie."

"I bet that's not all he makes." D said with laugh. Then she slapped her hands over her mouth. "You didn't hear that and I didn't say it out loud. Really."

Molly laughed. "That's okay. It's true."

D'anna stopped for a split second, gobsmacked, then laughed. "Gods Molly, I keep thinking you're much younger. Sorry. So you're a happy little cheer bunny then?"

"Well, I am closer to sixteen than most people here realize," Molly said. "But, yeah. I am a happy little cheer bunny." She grinned again.

"Closer, how?" D asked. "Good for you, Mollyball!"

"The most recent time I went home, I was there for three months while only two weeks passed here," Molly explained. "So, I'm older than most people think. Not by much, but I am."

"Still counts, as I can remember your last birthday as just this spring!" D thought for a second. "So... does this mean we get to throw you two parties, or just one?"

"I'll probably just stick with the March birthday here since it will cause less confusion."
