[The Gym, Cheerleading Practice, after classes]

Alec rolled out the mats and turned on the music as he waited for everyone to show up. When everyone had, he turned down the sound a little to address the group.

"Okay, so Buffy couldn't pull herself out of bed or whatever, which means I'm stuck with actually doing my co-captain-ish duties," he said, not looking honestly very annoyed.

"She did tell me what she wants us all to do though, and it involves this crappy ass song and some dance moves -- we're focusing on working as a unit, getting timing down and hating the early nineties. I'm kind of glad I hadn't even been born yet, if this was what music sounded like then, really.

"First, take fifteen minutes to warm up and practice whatever you need," Alec said, turning the volume back up.

Alec is singing under his breath as he goes to turn down the music finally. "They all want me, they can´t have me...

"Uh. Anyway, so here (http://www.wikihow.com/Do-the-Macarena) is how you do it." Alec demonstrates ~~making this two for three characters who have done it IG now~~, then looks at the group. "Now we do it together! With the beat of the song, try not to fall behind, yadda yadda. I swear, this is supposed to have something to do with cheerleading."

[ooc: Just describe if'n y'all are doing it, doing it well, goofing off, do it badly, whatever. Alec might attempt to help you if you really screw up though.]

Because everyone wants to see a giant gremlin doing the macarena.

Nadia was, unfortunately, very familiar with this dance. She did it in sort of a half-assed manner, since she'd been doing it since she was, oh, six years old.

Marie's eyes widened at Buffy's dance choice, but she practiced anyway.

This? Was not unlike a video already in D's possession and really should be captured for the future.

D put her hand over her mouth in an attempt to stifle and mask her giggling as coughing.

"Ummm, Alec?"

"Yeah?" Alec gave D'anna a suspicious look, since she seemed awfully giggly for no reason.

"Could you show us that once more?" D asked and grinned as little as possible.

Alec shrugged and repeated the dance, still wary.

"...with vocal accompaniment?" D asked, looking as innocent as she possibly could manage.

Pippi is doing the dance but she's also doing something vaguely bellydancy while she moves her arms.

Molly made a face as she watched Alec demonstrate. Then she sighed and danced along with the others.

Jamie has done spirit fingers, jazz hands and has even dressed as a girl.

He will *not* do the macarena.

You've got to have standards.

"Dude, dance," Alec says, clapping his hands together encouragingly. "That's why you're here, right?"

Seely tilted his head curiously as he watched Alec, before doing the dance.

Z looked slightly horrified at the dance choice, but she went along with it, singing softly to herself in Spanish as she danced. She didn't suck at it. She probably would have been happier if she did.

Lana rolled her eyes, then joined in and did a very presentable macarena.

Phoebe tried not to laugh as she watched Alec demonstrate for them. Though she did wonder how Buffy had convinced him to do this.

As she danced along, she made a mental note to thank Buffy for this entertainment the next time she saw her.
