As the students enter into the Dangershop, they'll see that it has been transformed into what appears to be a New York City police Station.

Lorne grinned at the students and shut the door just as a disembodied voice announced:

"In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories."

Then there is a noise that's best described as:

DOINK-DOINK

Lorne smiled a toothy grin. "Congratulations kids. You're under arrest."

He has a warrant for each student listed:
Jack Harkness
Zuko
Teddy Altman
Sam Winchester

The ADA marches into the room (after you finally agree to work with the police department).

"And just why do you think we should cut you a deal?"

"Because you just offered one?" Zuko blinked.

The ADA scowled at Zuko. "Fine. Be cute. Just to make sure we're on the same page: You help us nab the guy who sold you the tickets, testify to it in court and we'll cut your sentence to time served."

"What if I don't?" he wondered.

"Based on the evidence? I throw you in jail and lock away the key," the ADA responded in a cold manner.

He should have just burned that bag. "What do you want me to do?"

"We'll have you go undercover and do a deal with the supplier of the fake lottery tickets. If we arrest him? You are free to go."

"And how do I make such a deal?" Zuko asked as he'd never before in his life had bought fake lottery tickets.

"We'll have the detectives set you up with a meeting and have you wear a wiretap to record your conversation," the ADA replied. "We'll do it this afternoon before he flees the country. In the meantime we'll have the police get you some lunch."

"Wiretap?" he asked.

"Because I can give you something you want, and you won't get it if I think I'm going to be locked up," Jack replied, sounding very smug.

The ADA glared at Jack. "Or I can slap a material witness order on you and hold you indefinitely. This isn't a game Mr. Harkness and I urge you to rethink your attitude."

Switching tactics, Jack leaned forward and smiled sweetly. "True. Okay, what do you want me to do?"

The ADA seemed momentarily disarmed by Jack's change of attitude but quickly recovered. "We're going to put you undercover to track down the person distributing the lottery tickets. If we apprehend him and you testify in court we'll downsize your sentence to time served."

Jack nodded thoughtfully. "That sounds reasonable. And I do have quite a bit of experience working undercover." A smirk came and went. "Out of curiosity, what's to stop me disappearing while I'm tracking them down?"

"Oh. I'd say the lojack we're going to strap to you and the dozen or so police officers who are going to be canvassing the area," the ADA said rolling her eyes slightly at the undercover comment. "So do we have a deal, Mr. Harkness?"

"Are you going to strap it anywhere interesting?" he asked innocently. "And yeah, we've got a deal."

The ADA paused for a second and gave Jack a wary look. "No where that would get you excited. The detectives will get you lunch and then we'll set you up for the operation."

Sam put on his most innocent look. "Because I didn't really do anything wrong?" he said hopefully.

"Yeah. Sure you did cowboy," the ADA said looking over her paperwork. "Here's the deal. You help us nab the perpetrator? We set you loose with time served. Any questions?"

"I hope you're not asking me to snitch on anybody, because I'm not that kind of guy." Sure, he could play along, but that didn't mean he was going to take the easy route.

"You either turn this guy in or you're in Riker's findin out what they slip in the fruit cocktail. Doesn't make a difference to me," the ADA said calmly.

"Whoa, okay," Sam replied, eyes widening. "On second thought, your deal sounds pretty good."

"Thought it might," the ADA said standing up. "Enjoy your lunch and the detectives will take you out for the operation."

"Okay, I will. Thanks."
