"The ghost of my Grandfather." Pippi said. "I didn't even know he was... around."

"That's definately a little different," Chad admitted, wondering why the ghosts of his grandfather couldn't show up, but then he was still not sure if the ghosts of all his dead relatives existed. "Did it go well? Or....not so much?"

"It was exciting." Pippi said cheerfully. "I don't think he was prepared."

Chad smirked, just a wee-tiny bit, though greatly amused. "You don't think he was prepared?"

"As far as I know, none of my teachers had their faces eaten by him... So they must have taken him in stride..."

"Does he eat faces a lot?"

"Normally, he ate entire heads..." Pippi said. "But being dead can't do much for one's appitite I expect."

Chad nodded, noting that the scalloped potatoes kind of looked a bit like faces, too, as he took a bite. "Your grandfather sounds like a very interesting guy, Pippi."

"I'm inclined to agree." she grinned. "How was your weekend?"

Chad nodded. "Was good. Lotta sleep, and a little bit of bowling."

"You didn't have any family comd down?"

"Don't have any family to come down. Although it would be up, since they'd be comin' from Mexico."

"Oh sucky." Pippi says, "Who bakes you cookies when you get good grades then?"

"Um, Orihime tried a few times, but...those were definately not edible to anyone but her."

"Well... It's the thought that counts."

Chad nodded. "It is."

He paused to swallow a bite of food. "Not too long ago, she sent me some red bean paste cupcakes."

"Better then the cookies?"

Chad shrugged. "Dunno. Wasn't brave enough to try 'em."

"Normally I'd say there's never any harm in trying... But I've had Sam Carter's cookies."

"Worse than red bean paste cupcakes?"

"They made me think I was some girl in New Jersey in 1956..."
