"Today we're going to go over another television show format called 'Teen Dramas'. Typically, this is a group of friends who go to school together and suffer bizarre and weird plot twists that no normal teenager would ever go through."

"In front of you are some portable video players loaded with some examples of the TV shows in question. Please watch the clips and when we are done we will have a class excercise."

Class Excercise:
"All right kids. Your class assignment is to choose a character from one of the series you just watched and for the rest of the class you will act like that character. The scenario here is that you are all in a strange high school where all of your characters have been forced to go for whatever reason and it is your first day of school. I know the scenario is unrealistic but just run with it. For giggles we'll call it Random High."

Bel shrugged and picked Eric Lohan from Vanessa Saturn. He seemed like a pretty cool troublemaker.

Marty raised his eyebrow one millimeter when he looked at Bel. Other than that there was no facial expression on his face whatsoever.

Bel leaned back in his chair and gave Marty a "What?" look.

"Is there a problem, Mr. Lohan?" Marty said sternly but again without a trace of emotion on his face.

"Other than this class is boring the hell out of me, no," Bel said sweetly.

"Perhaps you would find detention to be more entertaining?" Marty said as he paged through some papers on his desk. His eyebrow might have shifted another millimeter.

"I love it when you get all authoritative," Bel said, shivering exaggeratedly.

"Your love or any kind of emotional display is unnecessary, Mr. Lohan," Marty replied lacking any kind of emotional display.

"Now you're hurting my feelings," Bel said, pouting.

"If I have, I apologize. However given your usual sarcastic remarks I will assume that you are making a joke and withold any offers of a hug or signs of compassion," Marty replied in a dead tone.

Bel batted his eyes. "But I really need a hug or I'm going to grow up to be a social deviant!"

"Then I suggest you get that form of emotional response from a family member or friend. Perhaps Vanessa Saturn can be of assistance," Marty suggested.

"Eric, you're a psychotic... whosis," Evie muttered, unable to say the line like Vanessa. She tilted her head and tried to look belligerent. "And, and you have to stop picking on Walter. So there."

"Or what?" Bel said mockingly. "You going to follow me around like a puppy even more? Really, Vanessa, it was fun at first, but it's getting kinda old seeing you every time I turn around."

"It's even older for me, Eric! And speaking of puppies, my champion rottweiler will bite a hole in your, your, bum! If you don't learn to take me seriously." Evie stamped her foot. Then she reconsidered, and tilted her head. "And you know something about the murder. Tell."

Bel wavered at the headtilt. "Must..resist...UST...." he muttered under his breath. "Only way you're getting something out of me is if you wear a harem girl outfit and give me a lapdance," he said. "Then -- only then -- I might have something for you."

Evie's eyes got huge for a second, and she gaped at Bel. "Well, I --" She blinked, realizing it was part of the game, then bounced, then remembered she was Vanessa. "Would never wear a harem girl outfit for *you*, Eric. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever," she took a breath, "ever. Even if you are very cute and have family issues I sympathize with." Head-tilt. "You flatter yourself and I have a stungun."

Bel grinned and leaned in closer to Evie. "I love a girl with toys," he said.

"Eeep!" Evie jumped back, then shook her head, and took a step forward, poking Bel in the chest with one finger. "A stungun is not a toy! And, and, stop being flirty! I'm not supposed to notice that." She folded her arms. "Right. I got distracted. And now, you were going to tell me about the murder." She tilted her head again, and Evie muttered, "Ow..."

Bel batted his eyes. "But I know that you know that beneath this jackass exterior is a fragile, wounded heart, sorely in need of the tender affections of a suspcious girl who will accuse me of murdering my girlfriend and run out on me each and every time we hook up to have sex."

And that was the point at which Evie broke character.

"I didn't-- she did? No! She's an investigator, and-- they're having--that? I didn't realize--"

Flail, Evie, flail.

"She totally wants to get into his pants," Bel said, grinning. "She has a thing for bad boys."

"Oh! I just thought -- that they were -- well, I can see, now that you explain... Oh, that's rather wrong, isn't it?" Evie said, turning slowly more and more red. "Since he was in love with the girl that died, and she was the girl's best friend, and oh, honestly, is everything about sex?!" she burst out.

Then put her head down on the desk and whimpered a bit.

"Makes about as much sense as stuff around here," Bel said. "A demon in love with a witch, another demon shacking up with the guy he tried to kill a year ago...go figure."

Evie stared at Bel a moment, then blurted, "You're the one in love with the witch, you told me about her, so who's-- 'shacked up'? Good lord. And he tried to kill his lover? How-- what? How is this allowed?"
