The room is in the same arrangement as last week, with pairs of comfortable chairs divided by small tables. Except that each table holds several items: a deck of tarot cards, a crystal ball, and an astrology chart.

"Today I'm giving all of you a choice of exercises, but I'd like you to choose one that you haven't had a chance to try yet. If during the cartomancy or chrystallomancy lab, your partner did a reading but you didn't, for instance. Or if you haven't yet had the opportunity to do your homework assignment from Monday's class, you have the option today of doing a chart for your partner. If you've done all three of these exercises already, then I am offering you the opportunity to choose a method of divination and request permission to give it a try. The following, however, are off limits as we will be covering them in future labs: Arithmancy, I Ching, Bibliomancy, Tea Reading, Onomancy, Graphology, and Rune Casting.

"Also, don't forget to turn in the essays assigned to you last week."

"They're gonna think she's out of her mind," Bel said glumly. "But, well, at least they won't be meeting any members of my family."

"The glass is always half empty for you, isn't it?" Blair asked with a bounce. "Maybe this weekend will go better than you think. Maybe they'll see how much Phoebe loves you and how much you love her and they'll be fine."

"I don't know, I've heard about her grandmother and older sister," Bel said dubiously. "Piper's one thing, but Prue's a real hardass when it comes to demons. She'd get along well with Daddy Winchester."

"Her grandma seemed nice." Blair said hopefully. "Hmm...maybe you can just distract Prue all weekend. I'm sure Mr. Winchester needs a date."

Bel snickered. "She might be a little too young for him. But then again, she might like older guys."

"It's worth a shot, man." Blair grinned. "Maybe when you introduce them, just drop a lot of hints about killing things and weapons and violence. Get their blood running."

"I think she'd be more hot for Dean from what I know," Bel mused. "But hey, worth a shot I guess. Maybe they can at least talk shop and keep her distracted that way."

"Dean's cool, man. Don't put the mean girl with Dean." Blair shook his head. "Though...you don't think that Mr. Winchester will try and kill her cause she's a witch, do you?"

Bel shrugged. "He hasn't said anything about going after witches because they're evil that I've heard," he said, "and I don't think I've heard that out of Dean or Sam, either. 'Course, they know if they laid one hand on Phoebe I'd kill them."

Blair rolled his eyes. "Threats of killing? Probably not the best idea this weekend. You want to show Phoebe's family your good side."

"They're just gonna look at me and see demon," Bel said mournfully.

"Bel, repeat after me." Blair bounced.

"I'm a worthwhile person. Phoebe loves me. Things are going to go well this weekend."

Bel made a face. "I'm a worthwhile person. Phoebe loves me. Things are ~~not~~ going to go well this weekend."

"Once more with feeling, man." Blair smiled, trying to encourage Bel.

"I'm a worthwhile person! Phoebe loves me! Things are going to go well this weekend!"

Bel gave Blair a Look.

Blair dug into his bag and held up a poptart. "Sugar?"
