Good Omens...And Bad: Prophecy in Theory and Practice, Lab Seven
Friday, October 20, Second Period
The room is in the same arrangement as last week, with pairs of comfortable chairs divided by small tables. Except that each table holds several items: a deck of tarot cards, a crystal ball, and an astrology chart.
"Today I'm giving all of you a choice of exercises, but I'd like you to choose one that you haven't had a chance to try yet. If during the cartomancy or chrystallomancy lab, your partner did a reading but you didn't, for instance. Or if you haven't yet had the opportunity to do your homework assignment from Monday's class, you have the option today of doing a chart for your partner. If you've done all three of these exercises already, then I am offering you the opportunity to choose a method of divination and request permission to give it a try. The following, however, are off limits as we will be covering them in future labs: Arithmancy, I Ching, Bibliomancy, Tea Reading, Onomancy, Graphology, and Rune Casting.
"Also, don't forget to turn in the essays assigned to you last week."

Re: Talk to the Professor
not knowing what Phale was thinking because...ewgrinned. "No, man. Naomi's cool with me hanging out with adults she just doesn't like it when I get too attached to people or places."Re: Talk to the Professor
"Of course. I'm not certain I agree with your mother in that regard, but I wouldn't want to do anything to cause friction during her visit. So I promise not to say a thing about movie nights or dinners." Aziraphale gave Blair a reassuring smile. "I'll try to mention it to James as well."
Re: Talk to the Professor
...and my brain is still stuck on inappropriate conduct. You have broken me."Naomi's...different." Blair shrugged. "I don't have a problem with the fact that I'm attached to people around here, I like everyone! But I really don't want her to freak and pull me out. Thanks, man."
Re: Talk to the Professor
Bwahahahaha! My work here is done."Well, I don't want that either, my dear. I promise, not a word." Aziraphale couldn't help but be curious now, about Blair's mother. And, really, about the family members his other students might be bringing along.
Re: Talk to the Professor
You're evil."Great!" Blair fished in his backpack and held out a poptart to Aziraphale. "Here you go, man. I brought extras."
Re: Talk to the Professor
Dude, I even have a tshirt."Er...thank you, my dear," Aziraphale replied, looking askance at the weird little...food-ish looking thing.
Re: Talk to the Professor
Well, if it's on a t-shirt, it must be true. Also, you said dude. Hee.Blair took out his own poptart and bit into cheerfully. "So good, man!"
Re: Talk to the Professor
It's the hair gel."Quite." Aziraphale eyed the poptart and then, because he was nothing if not polite, took a bite of it.
It was...very very sugary. Explained a lot, actually.

"A box and a half."
Re: Talk to the Professor
Aziraphale set down the remainder of his poptart and picked up a teacup, filling it and then holding it out toward Blair.
"Have a cup of tea, my dear. It's blackberry, I think it'll go well with your breakfast." And with luck, keep your head from exploding.

Re: Talk to the Professor
"Perhaps you can give me a bit of advice, Mr Sandburg. Should I keep the classroom open today for visitors as well, do you think? And should I have decorated for the occasion?"
Aziraphale accompanied the second question with a vague wave of his hand, indicating the room with its big comfy armchair, piles of cushions on the floor, crystal balls, giant sized palmistry poster, and lounge-ish lighting.
Re: Talk to the Professor
Re: Talk to the Professor
He beamed at the idea of meeting all the sundry parents/guardians/siblings/parole officers connected with his students.
Re: Talk to the Professor
"Oh, and um...she might flirt with you." Blair blushed, although he was pretty sure there was going to be no Uncle Azzy in the future. "Just ignore it."
Re: Talk to the Professor
"Oh, I'm certain she won't. I'm not the sort people flirt with," Aziraphale replied, with a warm, albeit oblivious, smile. "But don't you worry, I'm really very difficult to offend."
Embarrass, on the other hand...
[ooc: Uncle Azzy... *dies*]
Re: Talk to the Professor
[When Naomi introduced Blair to his Uncle Azzy, he knew immediately that something was different with the guy. First off, his name was Azzy. Not that Naomi hadn't dated people named Snake or Freebird, but still...Aziraphale was out there. Then he had this whole obsession with tea and books, both of which seemed to appear out of nowhere. Uncle Azzy didn't seem to be involved in the counter culture, and though he tagged along to all the protests with Naomi, he didn't seem to quite understand what was going on. He got along fine with Blair and frankly, Blair was happy that one of his uncles was more interested in talking about books and morality than taking him to a baseball game or patting him on the head. Once, Blair caught him talking to the television set late at night and while that was weird, it was nothing compared to the white feathers that kept popping up all over the apartment.]

[ooc: O.M.G. I'd say more, but I'm trying to hold my breath so I don't burst into laughter right here in the middle of work.]
