Newspaper Staff Meeting, 4pm FHT, Journalism Room

Rory was curled up on the couch in the back as per usual, and tapping away on her laptop.

She was available for questions, answers, and any bribes anyone had brought their editor, and of course there was coffee and baked goods.

"Missed it," Angela said. "Was there something I should have heard?"

"Um, let's see...the President in Professor Lyman's dimension visited, Bridge and I kissed, and I don't think Jaye likes sushi," Rory said just as casually, though she was now much redder.

Angela jumped up. "You! Bridgey! with -- kissing?" She blushed. "Was it fun?"

Rory smiled dorkily. "Yeah."

"Then I'm happy for you." She looked pensive. "So is it, like, a kissing-friends thing, or like a THINGthing, or too early to tell?"

"I...have no idea," Rory admitted. "He likes me. I like him. It might be a THINGthing in the making." She shrugged. "I'm not really sure yet. But it's fun."

"Then go with the fun," Angela said. "It's good for you to have someone where it won't be, like, angst angst angst our-love-is-so-secret for a year."

Rory nodded, smiling a little sadly. "Exactly. I kind of need fun. And so does he."

"Him too," Angela agreed, though not without a twinge. If Anakin or Xander came back, somehow-

She shook the thought away. "So. Fun. Good."

"And see, if something happens, Bridge is like...one of my best friends. We already have a really good base," Rory pointed out. "And if it doesn't work out, we can probably fall back on that. Especially if it's just...fun or whatever."

"Well except," Angela started, and shut her mouth, deciding not to ask Rory about the ruining-your-friendship theory. "I mean, yeah. You guys love each other, this is just this ... different way to show it."

"I know there's the whole ruining-the-friendship thing," Rory said. "I went through that with Anakin. But I think Bridge and I'll be okay."

Angela nodded. "Yeah, you guys seem to have a really nice ... thing btween you. And you were cute at Homecoming."

She brushed her hair extensions out of her face. "So, to totally change the subject, want me to try to interview Mr. Cale again?"

Rory grinned. "That means I get to run a picture of him. Please, please do."

"You got it, boss," Angela said happily.
