Criminal Justice [first period, Tuesday 10/17]

"If one wishes to create an image - to become an icon as well as a fighter of crime - one must work at such an endeavor."

V gestured to himself. "Many of you have expressed interest in my attire, my mask especially. It is an image of Guy Fawkes, who attempted to destroy Parliament. I designed my outerwear for practicality as well as style."

He indicated the papers and sketching pencils lying out. "I would like you all to design crime-fighting outfits. Then," V gestured to the stacks of cardboard, lengths of spandex and other fabrics, thread, needles, and safety pins, as well as glitter and other art supplies, "you may design a makeshift version of it to wear today in class."

Luke was sketching out a costume. It bore a striking resemblence to the outfit that Anakin used to wear every day.

Crime fighting outfits. Peter could only smile at that because he had some ideas. Oh, yes, he had some ideas (http://www.samruby.com/Spiderverse/Spiderman/costumeframe.htm).

He ended up cheating and sketching a design (http://www.action-hq.com/action-hq/images/items/oth002913_b.jpg) that he didn't exactly have fond memories of, but he felt it would go over well with the guy in the black outfit.

Peter sketched out his armour (http://pics.livejournal.com/once_a_king/pic/0000a4q8). Which was mostly used for fighting crime. Of a sort.

Alanna made a rather lousy sketch of her in her Squire uniform and armor.

Peter chuckled when he saw hers. "We're very original, aren't we," he asked, showing her his drawing (http://pics.livejournal.com/once_a_king/pic/0000a4q8).

Alanna snorted. "If you already have a costume, where's the need for a new one? And you're a better artist than me." She glanced a the drawing and hmmmed. "We have almost identical armor and clothes styles."

"That's true enough. Ours is functional and useful. What else do you need?" He shrugged. "My sister's the artist; I can just draft things out." He looked over the drawings more closely. "We do. That seems strange somehow."

"Same type of social structure leads to the same type of clothes?"

Peter grinned. "I was thinking they were comfortable and easy to move and fight in. How many variations on that can there be without modern spandex or something thrown into the mix?"

Alanna shuddered at the mention of spandex.

Teddy had never been so glad that Kate designed his outfit, because he sucked at coming up with ideas.

River drew herself in a dress that looked suspiciously like the one she was wearing.

John thinks for a moment and starts sketching very quickly.

Jack was drawing something that was sort of a costume.

The heavy emphasis on tight leather pants, the black mask (http://nimst.tripod.com/cgi-bin/mask.jpg), and the distinct lack of anything else would have to make you wonder exactly what sort of crime he was intending to fight.

Alec sketched out the only themed outfit (http://pics.livejournal.com/x5_alec/pic/0000yw4f) he'd admit to being willing to wear.

Dean so did not do costumes and he really didn't do spandex, so it took him some thought to come up with something (http://www.winchesterfan.com/gallery/albums/Season%202/normal_s2p15.jpg) that he hoped would work.

After all, what more did a Hunter need than a cool coat and the right attitude (http://www.winchesterfan.com/gallery/albums/Season%202/normal_s2p10.jpg)?

Tyler looked at his paper for a moment, stumped.

Then he started to sketch himself in a pair of black jeans and a T-shirt with a Paper Street Soap Company logo.

If he was going to fight crime, he'd blend in while doing it.

Kawalsky hadn't really thought about the rest of his hero costume. He had a mask though, so he started with a really rough sketch of that, and then moved on to the rest.

He might have embellished the muscles a little.

Layla thought about it for a little while before starting to sketch what could possibly be the greenest costume ever.

Z sketched something like ~~minus the picture of her~~. She didn't put a number on hers, though.
