Heroism, Humanism & Hijinks: Literature in Action - Week 7, Period 5

"Good afternoon," Thursday greeted. "Light class today about Frankenstein. Long story short, Doctor Frankenstein created something he shouldn't have. For him and for his creation, there were consequences. For you today, there aren't."

She gestured to one side of the classroom where the entire wall was covered with thick paper. There were art supplies littered on a desk to the right. "Go and create something you know you shouldn't. Be as creative or perverse as you'd like. Use your imagination. Let loose. If something doesn't work for you, change it. Work as a group.

Don't forget next week is our field trip. That's October 24th. No class during the day, but meet here after classes. If there's a problem, see me as soon as possible. I'll send a message around to all of you later in the week with a list of what to bring and how to dress."

Dawn was having a very, very hard time trying to decide what to paint. It would probably be bad to point it the spray paint at other people.

Alec was all over the painting thing. He made a dinosaur, and big angry screaming faces that probably said a lot about his psyche, and kept on until class ended because it was way too much fun.

Molly moved over next to Alec and started coloring in one of his scary claws by the screaming face. "Hey, Alec, I didn't know if I would get a chance to talk to you before cheer practice tomorrow," she said with a grin. "I have an idea I want to run past you."

Continuing on a theme, Dawn's next masterpiece was two vampires, one tall with very high hair and a very long black trenchcoat, dressed all in black, the other shorter with blond hair, brown roots, a black coat, a red overshirt, black jeans, and a black t-shirt. Their fangs were dripping in blood.

At their feet was a blonde girl in a pink dress.
